Hot with no A/C unit during the summer time

The place is very spacious with a lot of storage space. It is in a great location and has a park nearby. The kitchen has very poorly scratched up pans and no blender. The washing machine is too small and can only hold medium size loads. The queen beds have king sized comforters that dont fit well in the washer. I stayed in the summer and it got SO HOT as there is no AC . We had to sleep through sticky nights. I requested small fans, but they didnt blow cold air. The temp on the fan read 81 degrees! The noise coming from the main level of the home was bad. The main bedroom is directly below another main bedroom upstairs. You can hear every step, creak, and the sliding doors of the closet. We woken up every morning due to the noise. Ear plugs did not help. The bed in the primary room constantly moved as we would get into it and turn in the bed. A rug needs to be put under it. Unfortunately, this experience was uncomfortable and left me never wanting to stay in a basement again.
