Absolute best casita east of Sacramento!

This casita was just a perfect home base for exploring northern California! The hosts are amazing, accommodating and a joy to talk to. The location up on a hill surrounded by nature is so peaceful, but you are only a 10 minute drive from nice restaurants and cafes in Newcastle and you get to drive by picket fenced horse ranches as your come in and out of town. It's also 10 minutes to hiking trails along the American River, 45 minutes from the Tahoe National Forest mountains, 2 hours from the California coast and bay area, 30 minutes from Sacramento, 45 minutes from South Yuba River and the charming Nevada City. There is SO MUCH to explore and this is just a lovely spot to come home to after some exploring. A cozy home to rest easy. This was my favorite place to stay after a year of traveling around so far. Enjoy it!

this place was a sanctuary??! A has created a beautiful,comfy home away from home in New Castle! She was accommodating with my laundry needs and always made herself available if any needs arose (none ever did). the cabin was a little cool on the cold days, but nothing a sweatshirt and socks didn't take care of. the bed was SOOO comfortable. the land the cabin was on was serene and I saw deer almost every morning and evening grazing outside my window. I wish many guests for A and her cabin, but I secretly hope it's available every time I come back to the area to work ??

A and R made my time in CA absolutely amazing. I adored the small cottage and land around it, I could not speak higher of this space if youre looking for something outside of the suburbs with space to roam around. As hosts, A and R, were incredibly responsive and my most favorite landlords ever. I hope you can enjoy the cottage as much as I did.
