The location is in the Montavilla Neighborhood, on a street with neighborly neighbors who watch out for each other, just north of Mt. Tabor and within walking distance of coffee shops, bars, restaurants and groceries, year-round farmer's market, and more!
Cute, clean and quiet w/ a great host
Kristin's space was lovely and exactly as described. I was nervous renting a mid-term spot sight unseen, and she took the time to do a video walkthrough with me first. It's a smaller scale space, but so well-appointed and with thoughtful touches in every corner. It was a joy to find the kitchen outfitted with cooks in mind. The blackout blinds and curtains allowed me to sleep during the day, and the unit was quiet. You can tell Kristin cares about this space and how it functions. She has chosen to decorate with lots of interesting pieces, which I really enjoyed. The unit has a private patio with a bistro set which I used all the time. It's even walkable to Mt Tabor park. Kristin herself could not be nicer! She worked with me on a couple of things, was excellent with communicating and has great energy. She lives in the area and was accessible if needed. You can tell Kristin has a kind soul and is good people. This is a clean, safe place to stay while in Portland. Highly recommend.
Highly Recommend!
This is a great property for medical travelers! It is a nice quiet neighborhood. Only a 15 minute drive to Legacy Emanuel Hospital. It was very clean and comfortable . I cook a lot and the kitchen had everything I needed! K was an amazing host! She was very accommodating and helpful throughout me and my boyfriends entire stay of 7 months.
Home away from home
Where do I even begin? As a solo traveler, it is oftentimes nerve wracking to search for a place to live. I found Ks place and although it is in Portland, it is tucked in a quiet neighborhood close to Montavilla which has numerous restaurants, cafes, and the best Sunday farmers market. Also, close to Mt. Tabor park which has amazing views of the city and a great way to get in nature. The home itself is beautiful/modern and amenities were thoughtfully placed. I didnt even have to bring any kitchen supplies because it is so well stocked. I was nervous about safety and not once did I ever feel afraid. Everyone around the neighborhood is lovely. K is responsive and was always there when needed. Personal space was given as much and as little as requested. The best landlord one could ever ask for. Highly recommend anyone to stay here! If my contract wasnt over, I would have continued to stay.

K was an amazing host! So kind, helpful, and an overall great person. She even gave us little to go snacks all made in Oregon! The place was also super nice. Me and my roommate had plenty of space. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay!!!
An Amazing Stay!
My time at K's Urban Hideaway was an amazing stay. The home is well appointed; tastefully decorated and have all the necessary conveniences for you to make yourself at home. My wife (a travel nurse) and I were truly comfortable. I worked from home and had reliable WIFI to do so and my wife being on the night shift, found the home and the area to be peaceful and quiet to rest during the days. The location is prime! You can walk to nearby restaurants and feel safe doing so, and downtown Portland was a short drive away. Mount Tabor Park is close by, with awesome walking trails and green areas to just chill and soak up some sun (when the weather permits of course). Lastly, I cannot say enough about K- she's a wonderful host. She anticipates her tenant's needs - just by the way the home is setup. She offers great suggestions for you to enjoy your stay and she attended to our concerns timely, all though there were not many as again I re-iterate, this home was very comfy.
