A cozy and safe home away from home!

My experience here at the cottage was beyond what I hoped.The biggest thing for me was safety, privacy and somewhere that felt like home while working. I got those things while staying here. The host was so easy to get in contact with. As mentioned in a previous review, there is no space for an oven here but I casually mentioned my troubles with the microwave oven to the host and the next day, she was able to provide a toaster oven to accommodate this very minor inconvenience. This gesture is just few of many little things K was able and willing to reach out to make me feel comfortable and heard. There is a mailbox on the back porch that the host provides your mail in an efficient manor. As a fellow traveler that relies on reviews for furnished finders, I can happily, and honestly say that you can not go wrong with this one! I'm so blessed to have met this wonderful host and family that made this experience worth while. I know future nurses will love this space as I did.

Tacoma Apartment

K has made the coziest paradise that Ive ever stayed in as a travel nurse. The apartment is completely stocked with everything you could need and is located in a nice neighborhood thats a quick drive into the heart of Tacoma. The host is also so kind and thoughtful and is quick to respond with any questions you may have. I would highly recommend this spot!

A Sweet Studio

K's place was such a sweet, relaxing space. It's a studio apartment attached to the house with a private entrance through the back gate. It's small, but the size was more than enough for me to enjoy comfortably. The decor worked well to elicit a cozy feel and was very easy for me to keep clean. There are real plants that require watering once a week, but other than that has been low maintenance for me. You don't have a standard oven due to size, but that's remedied with a microwave oven. The place is stocked with kitchen appliances so you should be good there. There's an in-unit washer/dryer in the bathroom and a toilet with a bidet. K is a superb hostess. She will respect your need for space yet be attentive and keep you updated on if there are any workers she has coming by (tree cutting when I was there). She'll also let you know if there's some major storm or outage that is expected and will check in on you via text to see if anything is needed.

Cozy

Wow! My first stay on furnish finders and this cozy and comfy studio was just what a nurse needs after a long shift. The place looks just like the pictures. The owner, was a blessing beyond words. So kind! I recommend booking this place if you want a comfortable place, all the little essentials and gadgets you need including washer and dryer, good energy, great lightening, quiet, safe, secure, and easily accessible to freeway and local stores and markets. And my favorite part is there are great parks and gyms nearby if you like to be active. There is a beautiful waterfront (Ruston waterfront) with great dining options and places to sit and enjoy the beautiful weather, fish, or ride scooters. Located about 45 min from downtown Seattle but I worked NIGHTshift in Seattle and Tacoma living here and never had an issue with traffic during my commute. Highly recommend this studio!!! If I ever work this way again Ill definitely look for this studio as an option!
