Lovely Place!
B and P were lovely and welcoming hosts! It was so nice having them live right above the apartment because they were right there if you needed anything or if anything went wrong. The apartment was a joy to live in! And there were so many little things that made the space special - like the bathroom heated lamp, the bidet, and the stocked kitchen fit for a seasoned baker! I loved the cozy bedroom and it was a great space for my poodle too! B and P truly felt like family and I would absolutely stay there again if in Chicago!
"like a warm hug" - my mother
I was so grateful to find a warm, safe, comfortable space! I needed a place ASAP due to another poor Chicago FF experience. B & P were flexible right away with my needs and receptive to suggestions or any issues that arose. They welcomed me and my old sick dog as though we were past friends. When my pup needed to be put down, they were empathetic and accommodating. They took care of the both of us and offered so much warmth to our lives. I enjoyed the quietness, comfort, and safety in this space. It felt like home. I could easily enjoy my own space with or without guests, or enjoy the shared garden chatting with B + P. I can't express the gratitude I have for this little abode. I feel like me and my pup were supposed to be here so that he could say goodbye somewhere soothing and safe. And that's what this space feels like - a warm hug. Thank you B & P. I'm forever grateful for your kindness and hospitality. I will definitely stay again! Give the pups a hug!
Loved Living Here!!!
I have been staying at this rental since Mid October, and it has been a WONDERFUL experience!! I was a little nervous coming to a huge city and not knowing what to expect, but the landlords are amazing!! They made me feel right at home from Day #1. The checked in occasionally to make sure i was ok and to see if there was anything I need. Their sweet dog, A, and I have also become BFFs! The apartment is very comfortable and feels like home. I would definitely recommend staying here!!!
Comfy and quiet retreat with thoughtful amenities
I stayed here earlier this year. Easy access to ground-floor apartment with a welcoming entryway. The owners live above but you can't hear them, they're very quiet. (And they have a sweet doggo.) After a short hallway (bathroom on left, nice sized bedroom on right with a huge dresser and a desk), the apartment opens into an open concept living room and full kitchen, and a small dining table with leaves dividing the two spaces. Living room had a comfy couch but even more I loved sinking into the padded easy chair with a built-in, adjustable leg rest after a long day. One whole wall opposite contains a shelving unit with a big TV and interesting books and magazines. The kitchen has a dishwasher, excellent tap water due to built-in filter, and two or three coffeemakers of different sorts. Actually kitchen has everything, it was amazing. Oh and a high-end washer/dryer are in a closet opposite the bedroom. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
Very well appointed
Great, garden-level apartment, with wonderful amenities (washer-dryer, coffee/espresso maker, wifi, large screen TV, bidet, etc). Parking is a breeze; I almost always found street parking right in front of the apartment, which is unusual in that part of the city. The location is great in terms of easy access to public transportation and very near the freeway. There are some very good restaurants within blocks (walking distance), as well as a Walgreens and other basic needs. The landlords live right upstairs, and are extremely solicitous (were very helpful, made sure I had everything I needed, checked in on me), but were also very quiet and left me to my own devices. If you're there in the Spring or Summer, you'll enjoy walking through their garden to access the apartment. The only caveat about the space is that they own a pit bull, who isn't dangerous, but also isn't friendly, so if you're not a dog person or are scared of dogs, this may not be the apartment for you.
