Welcome to Fort Wayne! This is our home away from home: you will be staying in our vacation property that we have freshly renovated. Our nearly-100 yr old farmhouse is a 2-story single-family residence; it has 3 bedrooms (2 are nicely appointed and the third is currently unfurnished and perfect for storing your luggage and extras) , 1 large bathroom with brand new everything. And plenty of supplies. The bathroom is located ...
A quaint and cozy home that's close to shopping and all the trails, but in a country-like setting. This house has a lot of space and is best suited for 1-2 people. A small, THIRD BEDROOM is empty, not furnished nor equipped but can be used as a quiet yoga space, or to store your goods during your stay. Enclosed Porch; LARGE garage for 2 cars. The house is located in a neighborhood near active train tracks.
The Elmhurst neighborhood is a suburban community made up of mostly older single-family homes (1940-1979) , with low-crime . Residents can be found bike-riding, gardening and sitting on their porches or enjoying their large backyards. Most residents commute by car to work. The area has low traffic, mature trees and large lots.
Quaint Old Farm House
Partner and I worked at Parkview (Emerald City to locals) for three months, 20 to 20 min commute. The property was well-maintained and provided everything we needed. It features two furnished rooms, and one unfurnished room we used as a yoga studio. The decor was warm and invitingdefinitely not thrown together like some places we've stayed, quality furnishings and decor. We had a minor issue with the dryer, but Lisa promptly arranged for repairs and was very responsive to our messages. The large garage fits two cars and gear, which is great in winter. The yard is spacious, perfect for our little dog. He discovered squirrels and thought they wanted to play with him but they just chucked insults and nuts at him. Overall, we felt safe and enjoyed our cozy retreat close to old town Fort Wayne and would gladly return.

A couple of things to note: Occasionally ground shakes, it's not an earthquake. It's the limestone quarry blasting about once a week. Also, you do hear trains pass by as there is a crossing about 300 yards away. Overall, we felt safe and enjoyed our cozy retreat close to old town Fort Wayne and would gladly return.
Great Stay
I had the opportunity to spend several months at this property. It was one of the best provisioned places I've stayed with all the cooking and cleaning supplies I would need. The property is in a quiet neighborhood (except for the occasional train) but still close to town. The beds were comfortable and the overall property was nice. It is an older house with the creaking floors but the owners have maintained it well. The owners very responsive when I contacted them with any issues. Would definitely stay again.
Like Home
This place was a very comfortable, clean, and accommodating place to stay. All the modern amenities you could want, comfortable couches and beds, great and well stocked kitchen, a spacious garage to park in, all appliances worked well and were in great shape. L was a wonderful host! Any issues that arose were taken care of very quickly and anytime anyone needed to be at the property she let me know well ahead of time. You cant go wrong staying here.
wonderful place
L was very attentive. Checked in regularly to see if we needed anything. Kitchen was well stocked with pans, utensils, spices, and COFFEE! Nice Roku tv with Netflix and prime. Comfy beds with extra blankets. It is an old farmhouse so creaky floors and small drafts but my stay was great. Only concerns are no super long hot showers but plenty of hot water for two if a normal showering time.
Be very careful
Overall, house was accommodating and well stalked. Great location and wonderful neighborhood. When concerns presented themselves, landlord was quick to tend to them. Unfortunately, under bizarre weather circumstances as night shift nurses, sleep was not accounted for due to multiple LOUD repairs even when we communicated our schedules to the landlord. It is an old farmhouse so you will see LOTS of crawling critters. Expect to sweat in 80+ degree weather, landlord said open a window instead of lowering air conditioner from 71. However, our biggest complaints/WARNING/Air on the side of caution is landlord is very money hungry. Ensure everything is in pristine condition upon checkout. Wash everything even though landlord will say take linens off bed to be washed (she will wash) but charges for excess loads of laundry upon departure. Ultimately, u wont see your security deposit back even if u leave the house the way you found it.& dont leave a thank u gift b/c u wont receive a thank u
