Pleasant homely stay!
My wife and I stayed at Virginia's place while searching for a long term stay closer to her work place. Virginia was very hospitable, welcoming and forthright in her dealings with us. Her place is very well stocked with all that we needed for the stay. We felt right at home at her place. The neighborhood is also beautiful offering very nice opportunities for morning/evening walks. Would definitely recommend!
Lovely stay!
Very cozy, spacious, clean apartment. Felt like a true home away from home. Great natural light. Host is very kind and accommodating. The home is quiet and peaceful. Close to a nice lake to walk around and the beach, also a close drive to nice shopping and restaurants. The neighborhood felt safe. Parking spot in driveway a huge plus. Will come back in a heartbeat if Im in the area again for work! Thank you Virginia!
Beautiful, cozy apartment
The apartment is very cozy and has everything you need, dishes, towels, linens, etc. The landlord is very friendly and attentive. The living room, kitchen and bedroom are all nice sizes, with lots of room for storage. And having an assigned parking space was convenient (not many places offer free parking). There is also a large shared backyard. When I first moved in I wasn't sure how living above the landlord would work out, but Mrs. A was wonderful. I lived there for almost 16 months and I actually only saw her 5-6 times. If I ever come back to the area I will definitely check to see if the place is available.
I loved it and my dog did too :)
V was a fantastic hostess. She was extraordinarily friendly and accommodating to me and my dog. She often went out of her way to make sure the apartment was comfortable and to lend a hand when needed. The apartment itself was clean, well equipped, quiet and very private. V, thanks for letting S and me stay with you!
Best landlady ever!
I ignored the previous review on this site and I am glad I did. It was written by a young person, I have heard V's account of things, and I find her thoroughly credible. I stayed at V's property for 4 months, and I had an entirely positive experience. There is off street parking which is great in this area. There is a shared front door at the house but there are two separate entrances inside. I very rarely saw Virginia and there was no significant noise from her living area below. She was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and functional. There was plenty of storage space. The kitchen is nice and well equipped. You will have independent control of the temperature in the apartment. There is free wifi and it is fast. There are laundromats nearby. When I left Virginia asked me if there was anything she could do to improve the apartment for future tenants, and I couldn't think of anything! I found this property to be ideal and reasonably priced.
Worst Landlord Ever
We contacted this seller on furnished finder asking if she would be willing to rent to a person with two dogs, she agreed and had met us in the backyard the day of signing the contract to meet our two dogs. She was telling us to use the backyard as the dogs would like it and to use garden essentials to clean up any mess. About 2 weeks goes by and she is accusing us of her torn up front lawn, we kindly apologize but tell her we dont use the front lawn we use the back yard. She was distraught and sent repulsive texts to us so much as to having to apologize to us the next day. She then told us that we must take our dogs on the street and have them do their business there. Repeatedly yelling at my boyfriend almost every time he took the dogs out to go down the block (even though he did). Come move out day, we did a walk through of the apartment. We had taken out her air conditioner for her and cleaned the entire unit flawlessly. She saw nothing wrong with our place and gave us the full security deposit back that day. Before we left, she gave me well wishes, but before my boyfriend could leave she was calling him a liar about a TV stand she had US set up. When I went back up to see what was taking so long all I got was a smile and take care! When we got downstairs my boyfriend was very confused as to why she confronted him calling him a liar about a TV stand and why she did not saying anything to me when I was the one who put it together. Approximately two days later, she sends both my boyfriend and I degrading texts regarding stuff in the apartment which included: hangers that were not white (we left both white and blue hangers), a missing teaspoon, a couch cushion (that we had washed and put back in the cushion with no damage), and chewed up dog bones under the couch. She demanded $140 back from the security deposit. We ignored her demands as she had already given us back the security deposit and had an outrageous request of $140 for very small things (which why we would steal a teaspoon?). 4 more days go by with various texts over the days, and finally she texts me and only me about how she expected better from me and that she needs $140 or she will report me to furnished finders. I kindly wrote her back and explained that if she did not want to give us the full security deposit back she should have said so that day during the walk-through. I am not able to give her back the $140 after walking through the place and determining it was suitable for the full deposit return- and then two days later it is not and we get degrading texts regarding the status of the apartment. I told her she can submit her report to furnished finders and I will submit mine. Beware if you stay here!
