Perfect place
I stayed in this studio unit for nearly a year during my contracts in the dmv area and it was absolutely perfect! I was the first tenant and its newly constructed so everything was brand new and spick and span. Vicki did a great job with utilizing the small space. I felt like I was in a nice hotel room yet the decor and color made it feel homey. The closets are large with plenty of storage space so you dont have to worry about suitcases being out. The bed is comfortable. The TV is nice and the WiFi is fast. Theres a personal wall mounted ac unit with a remote control so youre able to set it to your own comfort level regardless of how it feels in the main house. Despite it being on the lower level, theres a good amount of natural light! The French doors really help with that. The only thing shared is the washer and dryer which was never a problem. I will mention that the ceiling is thin which means youll hear footsteps and conversations happening upstairs but thats to be expected due to it being in the basement. The noise was never excessive. Also- Vicki was so kind and accommodating throughout! She even took out the time to send me a list of things to do/restaurants to visit in the neighborhood when I first moved in. Shes honestly one of the best landlords that Ive had. Who youre renting from is just as important as the space youre renting. Overall, I truly enjoyed my time here and Id recommend it to anyone in the area!
Clean home in a great location!
I rented a room from the host when I first moved to DC in 2017 and enjoyed my stay! The location was nice and quiet, with an easy walk to the grocery store and Takoma metro station. Plenty of eating options nearby as well, and a Starbucks in downtown Takoma. The room has plenty of sunlight, and the common areas are neat and tidy as well. The homeowner who is renting the home is often away on errands or social engagements, but I enjoyed visiting with her when she was around and consider her a friend to this day!
A Relaxing Stay in Takoma, DC - Near Parks
A relaxing environment with a front porch and backyard with a garden and chairs to enjoy. I enjoyed walking in the neighborhood because there are lovely gardens and big, old trees to see. There are deer that come out of the woods to roam the neighborhood, and that's fun to see. A good place for those who want to live in DC, but prefer a quiet and more close-to-nature environment. The air conditioner is powerful when you have to use it. The wifi is fast. The kitchen is stocked with cookware and a microwave. The dog is friendly, sweet, and cuddly. The Takoma metro stop, a grocery store, CVS drugstore, and other restaurants are a short walk away. Laundry machines are in the basement. The owner is communicative and responds quickly if and when needed. I definitely recommend this stay to other people.
