I have had the pleasure of staying here for about one year. Everything i needed. Private bathroom, bedroom, and entrance. I worked evenings & P kindly made sure the porch light was always on for me P & J were great hosts. Grandin Rode area made everything convenient. Food & entertainment. I would highly recommend.

Excellent Stay and Hosts are Fantastic

I stayed in this home for one month while working at Carilion and had a wonderful experience. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. It was my first time in Roanoke, and they were very helpful in orienting me to the neighborhood and sending me information on local events. The location was close to everything you may need Taaza has some great Indian food! The hosts were always kind and considerate. One night, J let me know that they were watching Star Wars and (1) wanted to know if I wanted to join and (2) told me to let them know if the noise was too loud! It is rare to find hosts so accommodating, and I would 100% recommend this home to anyone looking for a temporary stay in the area.

Wonderful stay fot travel nurses

I did a contract at LewisGale and stayed here for around 3 months during that time! The location is wonderful and the host was more than was amazing! I am a single female traveler and never once felt unsafe while staying here! I worked nights and the owners were very quiet while I was sleeping! The unit is private with a bedroom, sitting area, and bathroom. I never once had any issues with either host coming into my space while I was home and if they needed to while I was away they would always ask me first. J was very caring and would make sure I felt safe often, if I was later than normal with work she would double check on me to make sure I was safe, which as a solo female traveling this was very comforting knowing she care about my well-being. I would most definitely stay here again if I ever come back to the area for an assignment!

Looks can be deceiving

On initial inspection this is a beautiful unit, but whats the purpose of staying in a beautiful place you dont feel safe in. Initially the landlord was pleasant and emphasized how much she loved her house. I also agree with treating the hosts property as I would want my space to be treated. I prefer to be silent like a ninja and keep to myself as to not cause any disruption in the host life. Soon after I moved in,the landlord demanded a copy of my work schedule which was an odd request that I declined. I soon found out why she wanted a copy of my schedule. Lets just say she was wandering around the unit without my permission and certain items would disappear. I was even intruded on at 5:45a so I told her that it was unacceptable for her to enter my unit without my consent especially at that time of the morning. Her response was that it is her house, that is not a private unit and because the space is her house she can come and go as she pleases when ever she wants. So, I rate this unit as a 1 star because I was lead to believe that I would be renting a private space/ unit, had I known the land lord felt she had the right to roam around the unit I would not have chosen to rent with her and her husband. The unit does look as advertised but there is no tv. So I will bump the rating to 2 stars
