Oasis - Bright and airy room with full-sized bed

I had a great experience with Jan! While I was originally uncertain about living with other random people, Jan made it work well for my work experience. The living space was clean and organized, which was great to be able to prepare meals and do dishes. The bathroom space was also clean and the outdoor shower was amazing. Jan would always make sure to let myself and other tenants organized when it came to doing laundry and served us food from time to time. I highly recommend Jan for anyone looking for a long-term stay on the Cape!

J is up there as one of the nicest landlords I have been around. She made me feel welcome and at home from the get-go. Though we are cohabitating, there are plenty of occasions where we are simply ships passing - going about our days between work, activities, or otherwise. Plenty of personal space when you want to be solo, but also open time to check in at the kitchen counter about our days if that's the collective vibe. Lovely kitchen. Great back yard. Great area for walking and access to restaurants/treats. Home sweet home.

I have been renting from this landlord now just over a year. Her and her house is a very comfortable place to reside while out here on Cape for work. The house is spacious and easily shared between her and any other tenants possibly there at the time. In my time here, there have been a few other tenants sharing the space and it has been manageable as long as you vocalize your schedule and find a decent way to work around each other (cooking, laundry, bathroom regime, etc). As for the amenities, having on-site washer and dryer is fantastic. The kitchen has everything you would need to make your meal for the day or meal prep for the week like I do myself. Plenty of food storage space between the garage and kitchen. The outdoor shower is fantastic in the spring and summer and the back porch is great for meals outside. Whitty conversations happen daily as the landlord is very approachable and entertaining to chat with. Very glad I found this property and enjoy my future time here as well.

Owner had agreed to move me from small bedroom to large for $1750 for the month of august and $250 additional from my original $1000 for last week of July. The night before moving to bigger room she sent me a text that she changed her mind and my belongings were packed and outside her house. I went to police as this is a crime. I booked a hotel for 3 nights until I found somewhere to move to. She will spend an hour telling you how to recycle and compost. And dont turn lights out as thats another long text of what you did wrong. The kitchen is not easy to share as she paints on the counter where there is the only two seats to sit. Dont stay unless you plan to hide in your room which is what I did and her other tenant.
