Great stay!!

I stayed in this condo for my medical assignment for 3 months. The place was lovely and had everything I needed. The owners were very responsive to my concerns and took care of them right away. The neighbors are super sweet and friendly. I loved the pool area where I got to meet some of the neighbors. Great community with great restaurants and so many places in the downtown area thats walking distance. I would recommend this place for all travelers passing through and needing a place to call home for the time in Des Moines.

Not the best

Be careful with this one. Booked my stay from August to November and paid a $700 refundable deposit along with an additional $800 prorated rent for August 13- Sept 1. Got here and the place was dirty. Found spider webs with other insects and spiders stuck in it, loud neighbors, and it spelled bad (as if someone smoked in it at some point). Could only stay a couple days due to lack of sleep from all of the noise and fear of something crawling on me if I closed my eyes. The hosts I booked with were extremely nice and helpful. Unfortunately, when it came time to get my deposit back, they kept giving me the run around and saying the owner kept forgetting to mail the check. I paid with PayPal and then learned my refundable deposit would be sent to me through the mail in check form. I've never had to go through this. It's been a month since I left the place (left 8/15, its 9/9 today) and still don't have my $700 deposit back. This is my first issue since using furnishedfinders 2 years ago.
