I stayed for 1 year in this apartment and couldnt have asked for a better stay. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, and feels very safeperfect for anyone seeking a comfortable home base in WinstonSalem. Youre just minutes from Reynolda village, downtown, several major hospitals, and a great mix of restaurants, so errands, work, or a night out are all conveniently close. The friendly family living upstairs strikes the ideal balance of being welcoming yet respectful of privacy, and they proved wonderfully responsiveany small issue I mentioned was promptly addressed and resolved in good time. That level of attentiveness made daytoday living stressfree. All in all, I highly recommend this apartment to travelers or longterm guests heading to WinstonSalem. Quiet location, unbeatable proximity to key spots, and hosts who genuinely careyou wont be disappointed.
Excellent Basement Flat
I stayed here for almost two years. The location is excellent--it's two miles to WFU, and you can ride a bike or walk there easily. The neighbourhood is very quiet, and it is a great place for walks or jogs. The rooms are very spacious, and there is a lot of light from the daylight windows. A and J are wonderful hosts--I cannot say enough about them. If there are ever any issues they are quick to fix it. They are also just great people! There are two drawbacks--one, there is no kitchen, but there is a space where you can set up your own cooking area. I got a two burner hot plate, and I used a couple of crockpots. While not ideal, it is very workable. And I say this as someone who cooks a lot. The other drawback is that the walls are thin and sound carries. You will hear anything going on upstairs, including their children, and they will hear you. I enjoyed this, but if you really want peace and quiet, this may not be the best spot. Again, I highly recommend. I loved it!
Large and Cozy Space!
This was such a great place for me to stay while travel nursing. The basement is very spacious and cozy. It was a great home away from home. It was very convenient to have easy access to the washer and dryer in the basement. I also enjoyed having such a large bathroom, closet space, and living area. I loved being able to walk and run in their safe neighborhood. And I really enjoyed being less than 5 minutes from Reynolda Village which is a beautiful place to walk, shop, and eat. A and his family are such a welcoming and kind family. I would hands down recommend this space to any of my friends or family.
