A Wonderful Experience!

I had the privilege of renting from Jenna for 1 year while I was completing my fellowship. Out of all the spaces I have rented over the past 5 years, this apartment was truly the best place I have ever stayed! The furnishings are high quality and super functional. Jenna provided all the necessary starter items for the kitchen, bathroom, and cleaning products. One of the highlights of this apartment is how quiet it is. It is located on a side street off the main road in a more remote, residential neighborhood, and it is silent at night. It is close enough to shopping, grocery stores, farmers markets, and downtown Guilford. However, a caveat is that it is about a 10 minute drive to the major highway, which adds to the commute time. I worked at the VA hospital in West Haven and the drive was about 20-30 minutes from the apartment, but this was not a major concern for me. I will note that the apartment is located above the garage and, at times, you can hear the garage doors opening and closing, but Jenna and her family are very respectful about noise and I never had an issue. Jenna was very responsive to any concerns I had (which were few) and she and her mom kept the outside of the property well maintained. During the winter, Jenna even provided me with a shovel and laid salt on the stairs and walkway from the apartment to my car when we had a snowstorm. I was so sad to leave this apartment and wish I could take it with me to my next position, but I would highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful apartment

I was lucky enough to stay here for 3 months while working at Yale. Absolutely beautiful apartment and surrounding area. It has all of the benefits of being more rural than other nearby locations whilst being within driving distance of grocery store, downtown, etc. The owners are also very professional and kind. This is a must stay for anybody who is looking for an alternative to living in the city.

Excellent Stay

The perfect place to stay while working at Yale this summer/fall. Easy 20-30 minute drive. The neighborhood is very serene, excellent for evening walks. The place was clean and had everything I needed. The owners were very kind and responded quickly via text.
