Loved it!
Staying here was a total pleasure during our time here. The basement apartment is at the bottom of a staircase. It is spacious and roomy. there are plenty of utensils, cookware, and dishes. We were able to use the large toaster oven in place of an actual oven. Stove top worked flawlessly. Nice big shower, plenty of hot water. I especially enjoyed the large window that allowed plenty of natural light into the shower area. The place is heated by baseboard units which worked wonderfully! There is no W/D. We found a good, clean laundry mat in Glenwood called Cajun laundry, in the Walmart shopping center. It's about 10 minutes from the apartment. It is located in a nice golf course neighborhood where we saw tons of wildlife. The drive to Valley View Hospital is about 15 minutes. A and W were always friendly but never intrusive. They kept the area/yard clean and inviting. Parking is very easy, in the driveway right outside the entry gate. They are very accomadating, graciously allowing us to keep a set of tires in their storage area. I couldn't have asked for a better landlord. We are grateful to have found and stayed here for this assignment .
Beautiful place in a great location
This place is a gem. We stayed during the winter months and the golf course essentially changed into a wildlife preserve with herds of Elk and Deer. It's in a great location; in-between Glenwood Springs and Carbondale, and you are nestled into the beautiful, quiet Roaring Fork Valley, with the Roaring Fork River nearby. We were comfortable and warm the whole winter. In the evening the Elk come grazing right past the house. Sometimes there were well over 100 of them. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot, and we had every thing we needed. I will miss our time spent in Westbank Ranch!
