Top notch Landlady and roommates

I was in need of finding an affordable place to stay in Austin while working at a nearby hospital while on assignment away from my Houston home. Joanne was quick to connect (as she is always available at a moments notice) to go on a walk-through FaceTime tour of her property with me and was all about transparency from the start! She worked with my immediate needs to welcome me into her home so that I could have a place to call home away from home. I immediately felt comfortable and my roommates are outstanding and supportive of each other’s space. All tenants in the house have differing work schedules and are respectful of each others’ property . The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Joanne takes care to ensure that all needs are met. She is very passionate about every person staying with her and makes you feel as if you are one of the family from the beginning. Thanks again Joanne and to your family for sharing your space with me for a little while!

Loveliest stay

Joanne is the best host you could ask for. Before I arrived, she FaceTimed with me to show me the house and the neighborhood. She also picked me up at the airport, showed me around Austin (and even took me for delicious Texas barbecue!) The house is spacious, and I lucked out with great housemates who mostly do their own thing (that is because Joanne is careful about who she welcomes in). Another thing, I also love walking every day, and this area is PERFECT for that. I loved my time here, and I think anyone considering a stay will too :)

Home away from Home

I am from India and came to the USA on a 7-month business assignment. This property was a blessing, giving me comfort and my family back home peace of mind. The location is perfectjust a 10-minute walking distance to all the major shopping and daily essentials. The house is quiet, peaceful, and shared with respectful professionals, which made my stay very enjoyable. What truly made my stay unforgettable was Joanne, the landlord. She is truly an angel sent by God. From the moment I arrived in Austin, where I knew absolutely no one, she welcomed me with so much warmth and kindness. Her kindness and support made me feel at home in a completely new country. I honestly cannot thank Joanne enoughshe has been incredibly generous, caring, and supportive throughout my stay. Loved my stay!

I had the pleasure of renting a room in Joanne's house for a full year, and I can honestly say it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Joanne is a wonderful landlordfriendly, respectful, and always quick to respond if anything came up. She truly cares about the comfort and well-being of her tenants, and it shows. The house itself is well-kept, clean, and peaceful. The roommates were all very nice and, more importantly, quiet and considerate. It often felt like I had the whole house to myself, which made it an especially comfortable and relaxing place to come home to. If you're looking for a stress-free and welcoming place to stay, I highly recommend renting from Joanne. I really enjoyed my time there and felt right at home the entire year

Wonderful home and landlord!!!!!

I was in Austin for a nursing contract. Joanne was an angel! She is a god-send. She showed me the home and room on FaceTime and reassured me how clean her home is and the neighborhood is super safe! Quiet but within walking distance to everything. I never felt unsafe in her home. She picks roommates that are professionals and I never had a problem from anyone during my stay with her. The house felt like a home while I was there. So thankful for her hospitality and kindness.

Youll feel like youre at home on a the Ranch.

I truly felt at home at this rental. The property is quite and secluded. Beautiful nature surroundings and views with friendly wildlife. The owners are a very nice down to earth Christian family. They were very welcoming and accepting. The rental in nice and has everything youll need. This property is far enough from the city to avoid city noise but close enough to commute and experience the city. The sounding area is very nice. There are plenty of near by activities, restaurants, grocery stores, gyms, and bars around that you wont even need to drive in to the city for fun stuff. 5 minutes from armadillo den, 15 minutes from Maverick south, and 15 minutes from Broken Spoke. This property is perfect for any singles or couples looking for the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city but also want to be close enough to the city and its activities. Highly recommend.

Smaller master suit with bathroom and shower

Absolutely a pleasure to stay at this house Joanna will do anything and everything she can to help her renters out. Never had a problem at this house. Great location for shopping and grocerys and an easy commute to the airport or downtown areas. Would highly recommend staying at this house

Great location for a traveler!

I was greeted with a warm welcome. Home was clean upon arrival. The bedroom had plenty of storage space, and a TV in the room. Room has blackout curtains. The home is large and well taken care of. It has easy access. There is a large washer and dryer. Target, HEB, and Walmart all under a 5min drive. Plenty of food and entertainment options near the home as well. If in case something is needed landlord is always a text or phone call away. I have no complaints and would definitely recommend for any travelers!

Best spot in Austin!

I was the first to stay on the ranch property in the guest house. It is close to everything I. Town while still being so quiet. Its secluded and private. J is so lovely and I loved living here!!! Highly recommend.

International Student

I am an international student at UT and rented one of the rooms with a shared bathroom for 6 months. J and her family welcomed me very well from the first day and kindly picked me up at the airport, took me to the grocery store and took me to see tourist attractions in the city. They also took me to the airport in my last day in US. They were always very kind to me and made me feel like part of the family, always inviting me to have dinner with them and to go for a walk around the city. The room I rented is super comfortable and very clean. The colleagues who live in the other rooms are excellent people, silent, respectful and are rarely at home. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you won't need to worry about buying utensils. I strongly recommend that you rent one of the rooms if you are looking for a clean, safe home with kind and respectful people. I really enjoyed my stay here and highly recommend this property.

If you are looking for a Home away from Home, that is gorgeous, spacious, and warm with the best landlord you will ever find, then this is most definitely the place for you! You will feel as though you are truly at home!

Still here, now for 1 year!!!

This is a great property to stay at!! It is clean and well kept. J, property own, goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and pleasant!!! Recently, my daughter and I flew out of Austin. She drove us to the airport!! Everyone that has stayed has been great. I work at Dell Children's Hospital, and this is a great location. Everything you need is very close and easy to get to. I highly recommend this location to stay. Any questions call but leave a message, I work at night. Will call you back.

Travel Nurse

I stayed at this property during a travel contract while working at St. David's South Austin Medical Center! The location is great, it's a short 10min drive to the hospital. I stayed in one of the upstairs rooms. It was clean upon arrival for my first day there. I was greeted with a warm welcome, the family themselves are amazing individuals! If in case something may need attention they were always a text or phone call away! I have no complaints and would definitely recommend for any nursing travelers as well! My room was blacked out and slept great! Plenty of food and entertainment options near the home as well! Target, HEB, and Walmart all under a 5min drive as well!

Joanne's house is an excellent option for international students

I'm an international student at UT and lived at J's house for 6 months. Right from day one, I received a warm welcome from everyone. J kindly picked me up from the airport and showed me around the city. The house was always spotless; I never encountered any insects during my stay. Upstairs residents were quiet and rarely seen. Sharing the bathroom was no issue as it was consistently clean. J and her family were incredibly kind, inviting me to dinner multiple times and providing great company. Everyone is so kind, making the environment very pleasant to live in. The location was fantastic, with easy access to Super Target, Walmart, HEB, and other SouthPark Meadows stores. I commuted to UT Austin for 6 months via the nearby 10 and rapid 801 bus lines. They connect to downtown and UT, with other lines for city exploration. The bus stops are less than a 10-minute walk from the residence. Undoubtedly, J's house is a superb choice for international students.

Wonderful place to stay

This was a wonderful family to stay with. They provided blackout curtains for the room as I am a night shift nurse. The room was truly dark so I slept well during the day. The bedroom had a very comfortable bed, and plenty of storage space, and a TV in the room. The house is large and well taken care of. It has easy access to the home through the garage. There is a large washer and dryer, and I was able to get my laundry done without problem. The bathroom is shared, and was kept very clean all the time I was there. There was 2 other room mates during my stay, who were respectful, friendly, and quiet. I was able to sleep during the day after my shift. The home is so close to shopping and restaurants that you could walk or bike to them. It was an easy drive to the hospital I worked at (St David's South Austin). This is a wonderful place to stay and I highly recommend this place.
