Comfort and the benefit of walking to work!
The S house is a great blend of comfort and proximity to Yale New Haven Hospital. The property is fully renovated with all the home essentials a travel nurse could need. D, the property owner, is very quick to answer text about any concerns for the property. For myself who lives in California I did not want to ship or drive my car to my assignment at YNHH. This location was perfect as I could walk to work in less than 5 minutes rain or shine. You have public transportation access less than a block away. It's an easy 10-15 minute walk to downtown New Haven and Yale University where you can find all sorts of restaurants and shops. If you need groceries Stop N Shop which is the local grocery chain delivers right to your door. However there is plenty of parking for anyone who does bring a car at the S House. There was a cleaning service every 2 weeks for deep clean of the common areas. It is a great place to live for your RN contract any time of the year.

Very comfortable and convenient stay!
My stay at Sylvan House 1C was very comfortable! In addition to its convenient location (walking distance to Yale New Haven Hospital), the property is freshly renovated, clean, and well maintained. Its also equipped with all the modern conveniences (e.g. W/D, well-stocked kitchenware, adequate off-street parking, etc.) that helped me to feel right at home while on assignment away from home. D is a wonderful & very responsive host. I would definitely recommend Sylvan House to any traveling professional looking for a short-term housing solution.
