The neighborhood is very quiet. People are seen walking their dogs. Sidewalks. Easy to get onto main streets.
its like staying with an old friend
I was heading to Albuquerque for a travel contract and the place I was planning to stay had fallen through. Sandy was kind enough to call me the night before to offer me her place on short notice after talking to me for five seconds. She just stated that she had someone coming the second week of June. I she met me in the parking lot and gave me the biggest huge like we were old friends. The apartment is cute new appliances, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and you have a parking space. There is a locked gate decent lighting which is not common for Albuquerque. I was able to find a long-term place within a week, and she was so kind to check on me during my stay.
Discriminatory & paranoid
This stay was the most horrible experience Ive had. I am a seasoned travel nurse 4 years. I was here for a total of two weeks. I was forced to move out immediately when sandy the landlord began to create issues over non-listed lease items. First, sandy lives right next door which was never disclosed during discussions nor in lease. According to the lease I was able to have 1 guest 5 days out of the week. Once my partner began to visit me she began to interrogate me about whether he had his own place, where he worked, who were all the men coming to see me apparently. She was constantly watching from her house and interrogating me about my vehicle about my coming and going. She also went as far as to insinuate that I lied about being a nurse. I felt very discriminated, harassed, and under surveillance. She demanded that I leave within a week and still has not returned my deposit and has drawn out a cleaning inspection for which I also gave cleaning fee. Do not stay here!

This unit was too cute and cozy for words. Very modern and updated. It was a very quiet location and I felt safe. The owner is the most amazing woman. She was available any time I needed her, but I honestly never had any maintenance requests! Everything was perfect. This is a must see!
My time here was hell!
The apartment was very cute and cozy but the landlord stressed me out for the first 2 months! She wouldnt stop harassing me; accused me of bringing cockroaches into her apartment; accused me of causing the leakage on the ceiling (she then finds out it was my neighbors doing); didnt want to bring an exterminator when I showed photos/ proof of so many bugs, cockroaches and spiders in my apartment; accused me of hiding my dog to avoid the pet fee when my dog wasnt even here in the same state as I was; told me she would find another tenant no problem, if I didnt want to live there anymore even though I paid for the months rent already. She was a nightmare. I was studying for boards for medical school and she made my time there very stressful. The area is very unsafe. I would never come back.
Fantastic find
What a find. Great apartment, all new appliances, recently remodeled, plenty of room and with skylights in the kitchen and bathroom you don't need lights on during day. Lots of homey touches like throws on the bed and couch. The best things are the back courtyard small but private out of the bedroom privacy fence and a pet door that goes out into yard. Front yard is even better with a table with umbrella and chairs and a grill, also with privacy fence. The owner S is very sweet and caring and takes care of any problems immediately. This is the 1st apartment that I have stayed in that felt like home. 10 stars
I had a great experience
My cat and I stayed in Apt C for 14 weeks. We arrived in Albuquerque a couple days early and stayed in a hotel at first. After checking out, the landlady was kind enough to host my cat at her house for free on the first day of orientation before the unit was ready to move in that afternoon. I had no issues during my stay, but I am a pretty chill person. Apt A and B were under construction at the time, and it was cool to see the progress and improvements over time. All 4 units are behind a locked gate and have a well-lit private parking lot away from the street. It is a 7 minute drive from UNMH. The landlady checked in periodically and she has a handyman in case anything needs fixing. My security deposit ($500) was returned in full after I returned home.
Landlord will keep your deposits
Charged $300.00 pet deposit,$500.00 cleaning deposit. Contract ended 1/4/23 moved out 1/5/23 apartment was spotless and completely disinfected. S H the owner charged me added rent from 1/7/23 - 1/14/23 claiming I told her that I would be there until the 14th even though my contract ended on the 7th. She used the excuse to keep the deposits by saying my dog chewed up a tree. She did not take it out of the pet deposit but the rental deposit.so she kept $800.00 of deposits. The next door neighbor was let go after just one week at work and S the owner kept all rent and deposits on the bases that it was not a month to month rental contract but a term lease rental. That is how she is legally able to keep deposits and charge for days that you are no longer renting the apartment but she rents it as soon as you have vacated the apartment. Double rent then. Just beware.
