Cozy Studio Barn Loft, 10 mins to downtown

Just not very nice

I was the first tenant to stay here. I was up front about my night shift schedule, and was promised by the owner that the lower level apartment would be both warm and quiet. It was neither. Renovations seemed quick and low quality. There were numerous holes in the wall that I could put my hand through to outside, and the owner acted irritated that I asked to have them fixed. He said, "it's barn, there are going to be holes." Walls were cold to the touch. The communal kitchen and laundry were right outside the door that was next to the bed, so it was hard to sleep. I could hear the tenant upstairs walk around. Sewage pipes were loud and ran right over the downstairs kitchen area. Owner refused to give receipts for cash payments. Don't stay here in the winter or if you're on nights. I moved for my extension. Only giving three stars for the location. Very safe area with friendly neighbors and ten minutes to IU hospitals.
