Santa Rosa Country Dream

My family and i stayed here for three months during the early and late summer of 2026 We absolutely loved the stunning views and spent almost every day and evening on the back deck bird watching, listening to the wildlife, watching the hills, and being in our own bubble. The house itself has everything you need and we felt very comfortable. Do keep in mind there is no central A/C so during the hotter days we had difficulty keeping the house cool because of all the bright beautiful windows. There are minimal shade covering. Alma and her husband, Mark, were extremely helpful and responsive to us and were able to outfit temporary window coverings on the skylights to help block the hot sun. Quite frankly, anything we needed or had questions Alma was immediately responsive. We felt very taken care of by them as landlords and felt incredibly safe on the property.

Sweet apartment on hilltop surrounded by nature

I stayed in this lovely home for two months. It was blissful. It's about 15 minutes from downtown Santa Rosa, and 15 minutes from downtown Calistoga. I enjoyed coming home from a busy day of work and sitting out front listening to the birds. At night the frogs come out and it's a whole different show. There is a very nice gym attached, which was offered for my use. Unfortunately I never took advantage of the offer. Sometimes different family members use the gym. There's also a guest house above the apartment. Overall, it is a very private space. The homeowners are very kind and personable. They truly care about their guest's experience and it shows. Other things I enjoyed was the great water pressure, fast internet, hiking trails out the front door, a private swimmable lake, and the two adorable dogs that live on the property.

Slice of Heaven!

I stayed here for almost 5 months, and it's an absolute slice of heaven. The views and privacy are unparalleled, yet only minutes from town. Feels like you're on vacation every day!! Alma and Brian are fantastic landlords and responded quickly to two very minor problems.
