Amazing home with an amazing host!
A is an amazing host and her home is very charming. Very large bedroom and huge bathroom with a perfect living area for the non cooking type. We had the ability to use the full kitchen downstairs whenever needed as well as a microwave and mini fridge of our own. We were on vacation for some time during our stay and A took amazing care of our dog willow for us and was an amazing grandma to our pup. This place was amazing :)
Great place to stay!
A is such a fabulous lady doing us traveller's right! The entire upstairs is private & very comfortable with your own living room, mini fridge, microwave & coffee station & very large bedroom, bathroom & closet. The bed was super comfortable :-) A is respectful of your private space at all times, even letting you know when she'll be doing laundry. It's a lovely neighborhood, close to the heart of Austin but I always felt safe walking my dog at night. My dog loved A & she was so good to him. I'd definitely stay here again when in Austin and am grateful to have a new friend in A! This was my 1st shared housing experience & A & her home were wonderful!
Staggering house with ample room and private bathroom
As a traveling nurse I have stayed at different places and this one has to be amongst one of the top in my list. The owner is a very vivid, knowledgable, and great conversationalist. She is what you would call a down to earth human. The room and private bathroom were in pristine conditions when they were presented to me and the house never looked upside down during my stay. The bed was comfy and to my liking. Its close to the metro so commute was a breeze. Never had an issue with parking, nor did I ever feel unsafe staying here. Very close to downtown and St. Davids hospital, which is where I worked. I will definitely inquire back when I visit Austin for work once again. The only reason why I didnt stay longer here was because my friend had an extra room at their place so rent was almost free.
Fantastic location with a great landlady!
Coming to a new city is daunting but A immediately made me feel at home! The apartment in her house was perfect, it gave me all the privacy I needed with the reassurance that I had someone close by if I needed help, support or just some company at the end of the day. The apartment was spotless and a great size with plenty of room for me to spread out and really feel at home. The bed is super comfortable! The neighborhood is quiet and very pretty. It is 5 minutes from some great bars, restaurants and cafes, and it's very easy to get into downtown A. There are also some great green spaces nearby including a cute neighborhood pool. I would highly recommend!
Lovely home and owner turned friend
I loved my time in this home. The owner, A, was living in the bottom room and I had the upstairs. The location is ideal, and the neighbors are also friendly. I love to bike, and this is right off the boggy greenbelt trail - which connects to many other trails throughout the city. The wifi worked great for me, a full time software engineer who was working from the house every day. The house is decorated in a quirky, stylish decor I really enjoyed. A was a stranger to me when I moved in, and has become one of my lifelong friends. She has been living here for years and is close with many of the neighbors. She's a bright, lively person to live with who loves to chat, tell stories, and give a helping hand whenever she can. I moved out because I moved out of the country, but still come back to hang at my old house with Allison whenever I visit Austin.
