Safe, cozy, AMAZING hosts

Krystin & Ryan made for such a comfortable and homey stay. Their consideration was heartwarming! Krystin offered breakfast on Christmas day and Ryan cleared the stepping stones after we had a few inches of snow (and cleared my windshield). Truly the most thoughtful and respectful hosts. Bed is comfortable, perfect recliner to watch movies and relax on days off, and area is very safe. It was quiet from about 9p-8a. Restaurants and grocery stores within 10min. My contract ended early, but K & R were understanding and kind- which as a traveler is so appreciated! Cannot recommend enough. Thank you, K&R, for such a great stay. God bless

Wonderful stay

I got lucky and found this amazing apartment. What i didnt know was that this amazing place would bring an amazing forever friendship with this family. It was a sad day when i found out I had to move jobs. The apartment has a homely feel and was super clean. The Dowdys were always quick to help with anything i needed. Thank you Krystin, Ryan, Emma & Aubrey. And my little buddy Landon. Also i cant forget their precious doggo Rouz!

Loved this Space!!!

The Dowdy family is so Awesome! This was my first stay so so far away from home. I felt welcome and Kristen and Ryan went well above and beyond to make it comfortable. It can be a bit noisy at times so I would not recommend if you work nights. They are clear about that in the property description. Otherwise the basement was beautifully decorated and kept spotless. The bedroom and bathroom were comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again!

Best Hosts Ever

We could not be happier that we stayed at this fabulous property. The rooms were beautifully decorated, furnished and supplied. We felt like we were at home. The host family lives in the house above and are super responsive. If we had any questions, they were a text away. The pitter patter of little feet could occasionally be heard, but it was not intrusive and never woke us up when we would sleep in. The entrance opens to a tree line with a plethora of birds and the occasional deer. Really a beautiful & serene place to sit and take in the view. There was plenty of room for street parking and the property was close to shopping & highways. We truly could not have found a better home away from home. If you are looking for a place in the Richmond metro area you will not be disappointed staying here!

Had a wonderful stay in this basement apartment. The renovations are just lovely. Theyve put so much thought into a comfortable stay. Perfect for traveling healthcare workers. Would love to return if in the area again.
