House in Louisville, Kentucky
Landlord Tenure: 3 years, 9 months
This is the first floor unit of a beautiful 4 square built before 1900. We lived here for over 10 years and loved every minute. This 1250 ft. unit has 10 foot ceiling with floor to ceiling windows. The original floors were just refinished and gleam. Private front entrance with backdoor leading to a huge covered private deck with porch swing and dining area. Plantation shutters are in the living and dining areas with blackout cur...
Clifton neighborhood. Restaurants, shopping, bistros, grocery all within short walking distance.
Clifton Paradise
Truly the most perfect home. This historic build in the most beautiful neighborhood is what dreams are made of. It's walking distance to multiple small business, restaurants, coffee shops, and multiple parks. I feel so safe being here with it being just me and my dog. The back yard is to DIE FOR. The fenced in porch with the garden style fenced in back yard is heaven for my dog. Also renting from Shay is so nice. Her and her husband are the most easy going caring people to rent from I could not recommend them or this property enough.
Charming Great House
This place felt like an old southern charmer, with the modern comfort to spread out and relax after work. Having the whole upstairs felt like an entire home - what a luxury! Such a sweet walkable neighborhood and the house is so roomy with everything I needed for kitchen supplies, laundry downstairs, nice back porch for watching the spring storms, and feels like home! Lovely, responsive, and caring home owners. You have to go to Carmichael's Bookstore on Frankfort Ave. Great restaurants to walk to and cute coffee shops. Highly recommend.
perfect for what you need
Vernon was a great property for what we needed it for. It is comfortable for two people maximum. Very large dining room and spacious kitchen. Hardwood floors throughout. Bathroom is small and outdated but everything is in working order. There is an office for studying. I am a travel nurse and this is exactly what we needed while we were here. The apartment is about 10 minutes to downtown and 20 minutes to other hospitals. Living room furniture is outdated and worn out. Owner stated they are going to replace the furniture as it is. Retro there is a TV that has YouTube TV connected, which is very convenient. Air is cold, heat is warm. Owners are very attentive with anything. You may need while youre staying in the area. Parking is kind of a pain in the ass if you have more than one vehicle. The driveway is shared with the tenant upstairs. Although I never had an issue with this I parked in the street my husband did as he has a work truck and needed to park in the driveway. There is a patio with a fan and a nice fenced in yard. They are pet friendly! Many many great restaurants, including Time for Thai!!
Come One, Come All
After being assigned to Louisville, KY for a month I looked at available rentals for a place to stay. After checking out several I decided to stay at 134 Vernon Avenue. Located in the Clifton area I found this first floor of a duplex to be exactly what I was looking for. Quiet and extremely comfortable I settled in and immediately felt at home. The decor and layout made for a roomy and homey feeling. There was plenty of closet space and the kitchen was fully equipped if one chooses to cook. There was even an office and the wifi signal was strong and consistent. I discovered many excellent and varied restaurants, all within walking distance. The neighborhood is safe and a great area in which to take a walk if you want to get a little exercise. I found the front porch and the back deck wonderful places to relax with both sheltered from the elements. I highly recommend 134 Vernon Avenue.
