Cottage w/ Private Entrance and Fenced

Cottage living

I stayed in the backyard cottage unit for almost a year. Perfect for solo/couple living. Didn't need to bring anything but my clothes which is what you want as a travel nurse. It's a peaceful property, well hidden from the main street. It's full of light during the day and has a nice backyard area. Parking is street only but I could usually find a spot within 2-3 houses away. But I was within walking distance of my job so I didn't need to move my car every day. I'm familiar with the Vallejo area and felt safe enough to walk to/from work on a daily. Neighborhood is mostly families, people walking their dogs, and working class folks. Vallejo has it's "less safe feeling" spots, this is not one of them. I know the basics so far as staying inconspicuous and alert of your surroundings, but that goes for anywhere IMO. Mark is really responsive with issues and easy to reach. I was close to work and everything functioned well. Not much more I could ask for.

Bungalow

The host Mark is a great guy who was easy to reach with any concerns or questions. The main house is absolutely beautiful and spacious. It was more than big enough for myself, partner, and our two small dogs. It has big windows allowing natural light in and the backyard space was perfect for lounging out in or to let the dogs run around. The location itself was also pretty good. It's about a 10 minute drive to grocery stores and a gym. Theres also some food/dessert/and drinking options walkable distance right down the road. One of the best parts about the location is its about a mile from the ferry station to get into SF. Napa and Sonoma are also very close by. You can probably pick any direction to go in and you'll find something to do from this location. As someone who was new to California and using this location to commute to Oakland for work, I don't think we could've found a better first place to start off in and get a feel for the surrounding cities.

This property was the perfect size for one person! Had all the basic amenities and such a cute yard. Street parking was a bit difficult at times, the surrounding area and Vallejo in general is not very safe at all, my car did get broken in to on the street while parked right in front of the main house. Other than that Mark was super communicative and very easy to reach if I needed anything. Very nice short term rental!

Comfortable Living

The property was fully loaded with almost everything. The only items I brought was a French press (preference only, house comes with coffee maker), air fryer and extra hangers. With the garage, it was perfect for my mini Cooper to park. Street parking was a bit crowded most day, but even if you have a larger vehicle, you can still have guaranteed parking for yourself by parking on the drive. Yard and laundry were shared and the back neighbors were friendly. The only reason I did not stay longer was only due to proximity to work. Definitely recommend this house! Also, Mark was always very easy to connect with and clearly puts in the effort to maintain his property.

property owner is very responsive and accommodating. Never waited for a response and house was clean upon arrival. Nice amenities included. Great backyard for your fur babies!

Comfortable private studio

I stayed at this backyard cottage while working at Kaiser Vallejo, its a 5 minute drive. I loved the vaulted wood ceiling, the garden , and the gas fireplace heater. Having a full kitchen, laundry, and bathroom was nice to come home to. Its a quiet neighborhood with street parking always available. M is a considerate host and attends to any concerns promptly. I highly recommend this unit for working medical travelers.
