Wonderful space! I liked that this is a in-law unit detached from the main home. The space is great and equipped with all necessary items such as a stove, microwave, and refrigerator. My schedule was hectic during my time there but I appreciated the quietness. The bed is really good to sleep on and the couch was comfy to take a nap on. The area is very quiet and safe, especially at night or early mornings. There is no washer and dryer but it was not an issue for me. I would go to Sudz Yer Dudz to do laundry and it was a very clean and safe facility only a few minutes drive. R and W are great hosts who checked up on my several times throughout my stay. I would most definitely stay at this property again!

Cute cottage right by UCD!

I loved staying at this cottage. It was warm and welcoming, and also very private which was important to me. The cottage and patio are fully enclosed. I rarely saw the owner, though when I did she was sweet and generous letting me use her washer/dryer. It had everything I needed: comfortable bed, desk area, private bathroom and a little kitchenette. Like she says, not the best option for someone wanting to do much cooking. But for me if worked out great for my simple meals, coffee/tea, and left overs. There is an area to hang clothes and a small drawer/cabinet for folded clothes. There is space under the bed and in the attic to store more stuff if needed. There is a ceiling fan which was fabulous on the warmer Sacramento days, and also an AC/heating unit (though I never needed to use it since I stayed in October when the weather is just perfect and the fan was enough). For anyone working at UCD, it's literally a block away, you can come home for lunch! Totally recommend! x R
