Excellent Property

We had a wonderful stay at "The Cozy Cottage". Brian and his wife were wonderful to work with and provided a comfortable home during our stay in Colorado. We loved the property and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, excellent neighbors and convenient location to grocery stores, shopping and outdoor activities! The home had everything we needed when we arrived. We would definitely stay there again as we loved the home and the location!

Not worth the money and UNSAFE

Recently rented this property and cannot recommend it. Aside from the host lacking personal boundaries (they invited strangers over to pick apples in the yard without checking with me), the front AND back doors are inoperable and do not lock property - they lock them with ill-fitting sticks. I was instructed "not to open" them. However, as the house lacks air conditioning in Colorado you must for air circulation. The house gets routinely hotter than it does outside. Mattress was ANCIENT and replaced upon request - though it did take them a week. Linens even older. No dishwasher OR garbage disposal. No recycling. Since I moved out they have increased the price. Several simple improvements would make this place much more livable. Unfortunately a common case of someone trying to put as LITTLE into their property as possible while TAKING the maximum from renters.

Wonderful experience!

My fianc and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our stay here! The property was very comfortable and exceeded our expectations. B and his wife were warm and welcoming and made our stay that much more pleasant. Our favorite part about the house was definitely the sunroom! The location is great too, it felt very safe and is close to a lot of great restaurants! We stayed here from October till February and had a wonderful experience, we would definitely stay here again if we had the opportunity!

Very cozy

My husband and our four pets stayed here for six months and had everything we needed on arrival. When we arrived during the snowy winter, B and his wife gifted with soup to warm up with. We really appreciated all of the little homey touches. One of our favorite places to spend time was in the yard where all the flowers bloomed in the spring. The sunroom was an added bonus. Staying in Lakewood offered many things - a short drive to downtown Denver and many beautiful trails for hiking and biking. The neighborhood is quiet and safe with plenty of sidewalks for daily walks, biking, or dog walking. There are two parks in walking distance, plus several more within a few minutes driving distance. Shopping is right around the corner. With all that said, the area still had the small town feel. We absolutely loved the area.

Cozy home

I absolutely loved living here. I really made this house my home. Its a bit dated but easy to make your own touch on things once you move in. The yard was perfect for my dog. I also loved the sun room. We spent many snowy nights hanging back there with a space heater and it was magical. Plenty of linens. Location was perfect to. I did 2 contracts, one in uptown Denver and one in Littleton, perfect commute for both. This home is so close to Golden which I also desired and spent tons of free time there. The landlord was the best landlord Ive ever had. He would have done anything for me. I felt so safe there. Also a security system in the home so even more safe. So much natural light in the huge windows in the living room, kitchen, and sun room. I miss living there so much and hope to return some day.
