What a gem!

This place is a gem! Very spacious, lots of natural light and extra room for storage. The house is on a dead end street and we felt safe. I will miss seeing Mount rainier say hello on clear days through the dining room. Alex is great! He’s an attentive and communicative landlord and handled anything we needed promptly. Would highly recommend this place! It’s conveniently close to St Joes, Tacoma General & the Children’s hospital.

Great stay!

I had a great stay at Alexs lovely home! Everything was exactly like the photos in the listing! It was a quiet and clean home and neighborhood! I would recommend this home to any travel nurse taking an assignment in the Tacoma area!

The biggest complaint however was be prepared to lose your deposit. We have a dog and paid 1000 in refundable deposits however there was no cleaning fee charged up front. Then for a move out checklist were told it has to be professionally cleaned and we have to have a professional carpet cleaner. At that point its the same as the deposit out of pocket. We cleaned the place to the standard of when we moved in. Yes we didnt deep clean but Ive never been expected to at any other property and never lost my deposit. When we moved in we found pet food under our bed and there was lint and dirt in between couch cushions but we clean when moving in anyway and try to be easy tenants but we were charged for all this extra cleaning. Its as if its expected that we were supposed to make everything move in ready for the next people.

Great space to rent close to work

Not a bad thing to say about this property or the landlord! Very spacious unit with a lot of storage. I lived here while working at St. Joseph Medical Center and was able to walk the 2 blocks to work every day of my contract. Quiet neighborhood with the house located on a dead end, so very little street traffic. This area of Hill Top has a bad reputation within the community, but we never had any issues with homeless and I felt very safe walking to and from work every day. The apartment itself is well stocked with everything you need. The extra office space was perfect for my partner who works remotely. The landlord was very kind, attentive, and helpful throughout our time here. We would definitely rent this space again if we find ourselves back in Tacoma.

Great place -- Would HIGHLY recommend

A was an absolutely great landlord. He was very personable and always ready to help me with anything I needed. Regarding the house, it's very nicely furnished, with very comfy and BIG couches and a queen bed in the master. The view from the dining room table was fantastic and Mount Rainier was there to greet me whenever "the mountain was out". Our pups enjoyed the yard and fluffy grass almost on a daily basis and when the beautiful cherry blossom tree blooms it's just... WOW! This place also had tons of space for anything you may carry along with you on your journeys, we did NOT travel light and we had no problem finding somewhere to put our 2 bikes, 2 snowboards, ski gear, and everything else we had in tow. Regarding location, it's pretty nicely located a short distance (even bike ride) from what you may need. Point Ruston was a short drive away, and 6th street was a nice 1-2 mile bike ride to lots of restaurants and places to enjoy. Give this place a chance & you'll love it!
