Safe and Comfortable

This property was a safe, comfortable place to stay, Malik made sure our needs were always met. Despite being in Newark, we consistently felt safe in the neighborhood. The small town has so much to offer from cool nature spots to some of the best local food spots you'll have in Newark. Both Malik and Charlene were incredibly accommodating, they responded quickly, coordinated everything smoothly, and truly made us feel like family. Any issues were communicated and addressed promptly. The bathroom is a little small but it's manageable. The mini-fridge is compact as well, but it actually helped ensure we used our groceries before anything spoiled. Overall, this is a great space for healthcare workers, especially nurses working rotating shifts. Malik and Charlene were warm, welcoming, and exceptionally understanding throughout our stay. We're grateful for the experience and would recommend their place to others.

The best Newark alternative

I just wanted to leave a quick review regarding my recent stay at "South Orange Home Away From Home" in South Orange, NJ The space is an absolute gem, and the perfect alternative for anyone working in Newark but has reservations about sleeping there. I am a single ER Nurse working third shift and leaving when its dark so the area being really safe was a selling point for me. The place was clean, seemed intact and I felt secured at night. The town is beautiful & worth visiting. The space is cozy perfect for 2 people or 2 couples because each room has a queen/full size bed. The bathroom is cute, not much space to lounge in the " livingroom" area but there is a table to eat and I spend most of my time there eating and sleeping anyways. Above the unit is the main house and they seem to keep my schedule in mind in terms of noise so that was deeply appreciated. Overall, I had a good experience and I will be back in Jersey in May so hopefully its available so i can stay there again

Perfect getaway in an awesome town. South orange has a lot of good restaurants and feels like a small town with city vibes. The property is well-kept and the host is very helpful. Would stay again.

Nice stay!

This home is cute and the host was extremely kind and helpful. Stayed here for 30 days and really enjoyed the town. Would stay again if I am ever in town.
