I am an almost 40 y/o new L&D RN, new to ABQ. I came here for work experience without my spouse & son; it's why I thought living with someone would be practical. Edna is very interesting, very active in her community, and could be generous at times. However, she is very particular about her home and I often felt like I was walking on egg shells. I was chastised regularly as if I was a kid living at home. I was shamed for eating too much watermelon, yelled at furiously for being on the phone in the bathroom with my spouse at 930 PM, and told I was using the oven too much (3x/3 wks). She entered my room 2x while I was not there without texting me. She played the radio/watched the news very loudly nearly all day/night, so I felt I had to stay in my room on my days off. 1 dog, while cute, barked incessantly when Edna left the house. I committed to 2 months, and I was so anxious by the end of my stay that I didn't tell her I was leaving until the day before. I felt like I could never relax.
