I had a great time staying here! The place was very spacious and has most of the basic essentials needed. It's in a very convenient and safe location to commute and get around near major highways. It's about a 5-10 min drive to Vauxhall station where you can take the train to NYC Penn station. Chioma and her mom were very quick to respond and super accommodating if there were any issues. Parking on street was fine, and there's some back parking, but it is tight. The wifi is slow for those needing to work from home and it does get noisy sometimes due to being right next door to the restaurant (they are very friendly though). The unit has a small shared washer/dryer, but it was easier for me to just take it to a closeby laundromat. Overall, I enjoyed my 3-mo stay here at this homey and comfortable place!
A nice apartment
This property has great owners that are very responsive to anything you may need. I cook alot so the kitchen was great, and I had 2 cats and they had plenty of room to roam. I got used to the noise the restaurant makes next door, but you definitely hear music nightly and loud middle of the night garbage pickup. I enjoyed the neighborhood, it was safe and clean. Very convenient to major highways and easy street parking. Could have benefited from a full size washer/ dryer but managed with the smaller unit. All in all a wonderful experience!
Spacious cozy apartment
My partner and I lived at the property for 4 months, and we loved the space and location of the place! The place was spacious for the two of us with available parking for both our cars on the street. The location is in a great neighborhood near parks and lots of local restaurants, and its also very close to the train making it easy to get to and from the city. There is also parking in the back, but it is very tight. I would recommend street parking out front if you have a larger car as there are plenty of spaces nearby. Otherwise, the WiFi can be very slow at times and the noise from the next door restaurant can get loud some nights. Overall, Chioma was very accommodating for any question or need we may have had during our stay there! Unions a great little town with plenty to offer :)
So many issues, not enough characters available to write it all out
I had several issues. C handled them with efficiency and grace -Moved into dirty property; hair in BR drawers, moldy plants (??) in coffee maker -People parking in front of the driveway blocking me in/ out -Gas got shut off and I had to wait for the gas company until 1am. Owner came the next day and said the tenant upstairs did not pay their bill -Took $500 from my security deposit. Took over a week to send my remaining deposit. I asked why I was being fined for a candle that was already on the property when I moved in and my texts were green. Called my bank and they said the owner cancelled my payment. I emailed C since I was unsure if my text would go through. C said her bank stated I got the payment. C then stated her bank did not "feel comfortable" sending me the payment. They only agreed to send it to my father (I'm 28 so ?). I agreed to just be done with the situation. C then made a comment about my father "being the one paying" insinuating I don't pay my own bills?? okay?
Wonderful stay!
The property is charming and spacious! The owner has thought of everything needed for a stay. The area is very safe and has plenty of amenities nearby. C responded so fast to all of inquiries and I really enjoyed my stay here.
Great Home!
This property is clean and tidy with plenty of room! Landlord is so kind and great to work with! I worked (nights) about 30min away from this home and it was an easy commute to and from work, driveway is narrow but very easy to maneuver. The reason I didn't give 5 starts is that the restaurant next door did take out the trash around 3-4am on trash mornings and it would wake me if it was a night I was home (I am a bit of a light sleeper)--working nightshift I was gone a bit and could typically go back to sleep without much issue. I also stayed with my dog and she did so great here, the neighborhood is nice and I never felt unsafe--perfect for our walks! There is also a small yard out front which worked well for us!
Clean and tidy!
This house was on the first floor with the entrance on the backside side of the house. Its lit perfectly for safety and youre able to park 2 cars in its back lot. The inside was clean and tidy when we arrived. Decorated well and very spacious. Has heat in winter and window unit ACs for the summer. The restaurant next door was not a problem, even as a night shifter. My husband also worked from home comfortably. The landlords are super kind and respectful. Definitely recommend!
Lovely Owner
I stayed here for 13 weeks. The owner and family are absolutely the sweetest people and very responsive. The unit is cute, comfortable and safe. The full kitchen was a very convenient amenity; I was able to do a real grocery shop and meal prep which I find extremely helpful when traveling. The water pressure for the shower is wonderful. Sharing the bathroom was not a problem as we worked opposite shifts. The only down side for me was that the parking area was very tight for someone used to just swinging into a wide driveway.
