Im so glad we found this furnished apartment after moving from NC back to KY. It had everything we needed, and was very quiet and clean. Not to mention in one of the best walking neighborhoods in Louisville. Our dog loved it too. Awesome location and very safe. Crescent Hill is lovely and we enjoyed exploring all the fun places on Frankfort Avenue. So many great coffee/cafe spots, restaurants and cool unique shops. David is fantastic and was so helpful during our time at the apt. He was always available to answer any questions we had and kept in touch to make sure we were good and had everything we needed for our stay. We bought a house so we are moving on from Birchwood Flats but 10/10 would recommend. Thanks David!
Property is clean, efficient, and in wonderful location in the Crescent Hills area in Louisville. So many fun things to do so close by. 5 minute drive to Clifton Kroger. Many cute restaurants, coffee shops, Parlour Pizza, bookstore within walking distance. Apartment stocked with everything you need. David, property manager, is friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. Enjoyed my stay!!!
Apartment is nice and clean in safe neighborhood with plenty of places to park your car. Many stores and restaurants within walking distance. Owner is reliable and will respond quickly to any questions. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to stay in Louisville Kentucky.
The apartment unit was cozy and well equipped and stocked with everything I needed for my long stay. The apartment is located in safe area with tons of restaurants in walking distance. David was very attentive and very responsive my entire stay. If I take another assignment in Louisville I would definitely book again.

I stayed here while working an internship, and this place met all of my needs and more. Its very conveniently located as its around 10 minutes from downtown Louisville, and 5 minutes from Cherokee Park. Its a very comfortable living space and was a great place to live in for the time that I was in Louisville. I definitely plan on staying in Birchwood Flats once again when I come back to Louisville!
Very cute apartment. Everything you need for your stay. David was great and prompt about everything. Very safe area. Walking distance to restaurants, library, and book store. Porcinis is a must try!!! Nice neighborhoods. I enjoyed seeing all of the Halloween decorations. I would definitely recommend to any of my fellow travelers!
I rented unit 104 for about 3 months. David, the property manager, was very helpful and quick to respond to messages. The unit has everything I needed for cooking and a good amount of storage for an apartment of this size. Having a washer/dryer in the unit is a big plus, though there is a big of a learning curve with the combined machine. The neighborhood the apartment is located in feels very safe. There are few restaurants, a bookstore, gym, and good coffee shop within easy walking distance too. If I end up working in Louisville again, would definitely like to return here.
Between David and Jenny. There's NO place better!! Close to everything! Safe, Clean, amazing! When I return to U of L I wont stay anywhere else!! I miss it already.
I traveled here for a contract at Baptist Health. Loved the apartment, no issues and David was very kind and patent. Would 100% suggest this location and would stay here again
Excellent experience - property manager was very responsive to issues with power and with air conditioning unit and resolved them immediately. Unit was very clean, well stocked and pets are allowed so my traveling companion was happy and comfortable. Would definitely want to stay here again if I ever come back to Louisville.
Apartment is in a great central location. Youre close to so many restaurants literally walking distance. The unit its self is exactly as pictured no smoke and mirrors effect. The bed is comfortable but to my surprise Ive fallen asleep on that couch several nights and its also super comfy. The neighbor is super quiet even during the day so for my night shifters perfect place to be. The owner David always responds super quick with any questions or concerns and he keeps the place well stocked and ready to go. I did a 3 month contract at M and E and I was always happy to get back to my home away from home.
Very clean, quality apartment, fantastic location, and the best landlord! We enjoyed our time here very much. D responded very quickly when contacted, and was very helpful. We felt safe here and things were always quiet. Parking was always available. I highly recommend this apartment.
I was selling my home in Florida to move to Kentucky. I wanted temp housing while I looked for my new home to buy. I found this true gem. Not knowing anything about the area, I found I was in the most wonderful community, Crescent Hill and right behind the wonderful restaurant, Porcini. The apartment is spacious, with all the kitchen amenities needed, comfortable, and homey. It is in a real and very walkable neighborhood, with wonderful local shopping, restaurants, and wine shops, and convenient to everything including Louisvilles wonderful parks. I became so spoiled I knew I wanted to live in the area. I was able to find my perfect little home just a five minute walk away. Birchwood Flats is homey, charming with a great management team. Pets are welcome which made the move that much easier. So happy to have found my forever home in Crescent Hill! And will always have fond memories of my first Louisville home at Birchwood Flats.
This has by far been my favorite stay in my 3 years of traveling. In the perfect, quiet, safe neighborhood, with the best coffee and shops right around the block. An easy drive into downtown or out of town. Close to beautiful Cherokee Park. The apartment itself is extremely comfortable and it's easy to feel at home. I never had any trouble with parking or any issues with noise. Management is beyond easy to reach and quick to respond about anything and everything. They're incredibly understanding and flexible which makes a very stressful part of traveling a bit more manageable.
The property was in a perfect and walkable location. It was just as described. The maintenance and management were outstanding throughout the stay and very responsive. The place was comfy and cozy and was a short commute to work. Parking was always available and the unit was well furnished and well maintained. I would definitely stay here again if in future another contract comes my way.
Birchwood Flats is in a great location especially for travelers! The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and very walkable with a nice variety of shops/restaurants/24 hour gym nearby. The parking is in a private lot which is a huge plus availability and safety wise! The apartment is well-stocked with everything one would need amenities and appliances wise and has plenty of counter space, storage space, and a great walk-in closet. Especially helpful for night shifters, the apartment is well set up with the bedroom on the opposite side of the parking lot and curtains to block out light. D was extremely helpful and quick to reply during the entire stay from move-in to move-out. I unfortunately had my contract cancelled early and he worked to find another tenant so I didn't have to cover the rest of the lease. I will definitely be looking to stay at Birchwood Flats if I am in the Louisville area again!
Great place to male you feel like your at home. Right in the heart of a strip of restaraunts, cute shops, and churches. Easy access to pretty much anything with great commute time. Definately would recommend.

I have been staying at this Birchwood Flats apartment since the beginning of September. This property has been exactly what I needed for my short contract. The location is close to many interesting tourist attractions, has tons of shopping options, and is a very quick commute to downtown. The best part is that the location is very quiet and safe. The off street parking also relieves the stress of having to navigate the traffic and risk damage to my vehicle. Property management has made me feel extremely welcome and relaxed knowing that if I had any issues, they would be dealt with quickly. When I arrived, the apartment was set up for me to quickly settle in and start my work. I plan to stay in Louisville again in the future and would love to come right back here.
I thoroughly enjoyed this property! It was in a quiet neighborhood where I felt very safe during the entirety of my stay. The space is cozy and efficient with all the amenities I needed. In addition, the location was great!- perfect for strolling down Frankfort avenue to local cafes/ shops, and it was a quick 10-15minute daily commute to my workplace downtown. Id LOVE to stay here again! Highly recommend this place for a Louisville home!
I am staying here at Birchwood flats while working at U of L as a travel nurse and I love it! There are so many great local restaurants and shops within walking distance. Even a 24/7 gym and library for printing. The neighborhood is great for dog walks/running. I have never felt unsafe. The apartment itself is newly renovated, new appliances and a great use of space. Very comfy bed, big TVs, giant walk in closet, and an amazing shower. The kitchen and bathroom are well stocked. All the appliances and AC work great. The building is very clean and quiet. Management is courteous and responsive. I couldn't ask for more! If you are looking for short term living in Louisville, I highly recommend Birchwood Flats!
The perfect furnished apartment in a quaint and quiet area. D was so kind to rent one his units to me and my 2 little furry friends during my 3 month assignment in Louisville. The location is ideal if youre working at any of the local hospitals. The unit was decorated perfectly and had all the necessities. D was always quick to respond and told me every time to let him know if there was anything else I needed.
This is a great apartment and the PERFECT location. It allows dogs but is very quiet. The landlord is fast to respond and very accommodating! Would definitely recommend. The private parking was a huge perk as well!
I was impressed. Great location. The place is clearly newly renovated and its clear effort was put in to make the place nice. The air conditioning is a work of art. The kitchen is very modernized with plenty of counter space. Everything worked fine from the plumbing to the shower to the AC. Its a solid deal to have it fully furnished along with all of the amenities. Management was good too, very prompt with any requests and personable.
