Zen Cottage
This cottage is placed perfectly - it is a backyard sanctuary located in a super safe and charming neighborhood in Portland! A chill -short walk away from some of the best bars, food and music spots in town. An absolute score, so grateful I found this zen den, I highly recommend it to all!
Perfect spot!
My husband and I stayed in this delightful cottage for a month of quality time with our grandchildren in Portland. We could not have been happier. The location is ideal- quiet, pleasant residential neighborhood, walkable to all manner of food and coffee options and feels safe and quiet. The cottage itself is tasteful and exceptionally comfortable, with ample storage, efficient kitchen, sitting area and a comfy bed, not to mention a shower that spoiled us! The landlords are terrific: responsive to questions and really welcoming. This will absolutely be our first choice for future visits to Portland!
Cozy Cottage
I had an amazing experience residing on this property during my time in Portland. The area felt very safe and no issues with finding parking. The cottage had everything that was needed and felt super cozy. I experienced all of the seasons and temperature in the cottage was great, whether I needed it warm, or cold. The kitchen was perfect. It was nice to have an actual stove top and oven to cook. It has a private entry and felt that my privacy was respected. The hosts are always available and so fast to reach. I worked night shift and was able to sleep until it was time to go to work. There are high ceiling windows that are able to be covered (for night shifters). It was a 11-15 minute drive to OHSU. There are cute restaurants and shops in the area and very walkable. If I ever come back to PDX for a contract, I'll come back for another stay at this cottage.
I hit the jackpot when I found this cottage! It was perfect for me during my contract at PPMC
I have Absolutely loved my time here! First and foremost, J and E are fantastic landlords/hosts and neighbors - they are professional and responsive when it comes to providing what you need as a tenant as well as warm, flexible and accommodating. As for the cottage, it was absolutely perfect for me and I am sad to be leaving. Yes it is tiny but I have everything I need - a full kitchen, bathroom with a really nice shower, and plenty of storage space within the unit. The cottage is super cozy. The bed and bedding is very comfortable and warm (and everything has hygienic coverings ). Having a private entrance is nice. Perfect for a solo traveler. Especially if you are at Providence portland MC. I took the bus to work most days (the stop for the 19 line is two short blocks away) and usually walked home- its a beautiful walk and the neighborhood is FANTASTIC. I will seriously be missing Laurelhurst (and J, E and the cottage) It was my little sanctuary in PDX.
I didn't want to leave!!!
I had the best stay in J and E's cottage. The cottage is clean, it's just enough space for a single person, and beautifully designed. They provide storage in their basement which is super helpful for larger items. It's in a great location in a safe neighborhood. It's a quick walk to some of the best restaurants and shops in. Their neighborhood is full of families and I felt safe walking during the day and night. Laurelhurst Park is a mile away and it's a great green space to visit. There is easy parking on the street. The Huguets are the most amazing and kind landlords. They respect your privacy, are easy to talk to and do all that they can to make your stay amazing. It was hard to leave the space and I don't know if I will find a better short-stay property. The cottage gets a lot of sunlight and there can be a lot of noise during the day so it may not be the best location for nigh shift workers.
