Amazing!
I had such a wonderful stay at Kay's place! I was traveling solo and wanted to enjoy the beautiful hiking in the Roanoke area. As soon as I pulled into the driveway, I knew I was "home"! The large beautiful lawn, spacious driveway and gorgeous home had such a welcoming feeling. My room that I stayed in was perfect! Very comfortable bed, lots of room, and a fantastic window in front of a desk which made my remote work feel great! I felt not only safe and sound, but private as well. I highly recommend Kay's place. I hope to go back again someday. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Stay in Kays Haven
I was a first time traveler, When I got my assignment in roanoke. And Staying at Kays place made me feel less anxious about it. Her house is so cozy and theres a lot of spot in and outside the house to relax and meditate. It is also just 2min drive to the closest catholic church. Theres also a park (garst mill park) nearby where I do my daily steps. The place is close to everything, groceries, mall, gym, restaurants, and even accessible to tons of gardens and trails. The parking space is huge too, i never have to worry about having my car parked by the street. When given a chance to come back to roanoke, i would definitely be staying here.
thank you
I found Kay's haven when i was transitioning for my work here in Salem, VA. She's such a sweet lady, a very generous one. Aside from staying to her comfy house, she helped me throughout with the transition, from being a new comer, where I dont know anyone from here, to welcoming me wholeheartedly. Im so glad that I found her and so grateful with all the help that she gave me. It was lovely staying with you, Kay. Ill surely recommend you with the new nurses coming here for transition.
Wonderful oasis in Roanoke
Kay's place is a wonderful little nook, in central Roanoke, with a beautiful garden that deer and squirrels frequently come to visit. Surrounded by acres of beautifully maintained trees, you could honestly think you were in a botanical garden. Her home is located to multiple local parks that are free to visit, but I would be remise if I didn't mention what a wonderful host Kay is, she took time out of her schedule to introduce and orient me to the neighborhood, a very safe and serene neighborhood. I worked the night shift at Lewis Gale during my visit and was able to rest during the day without any noise or disturbance. Also if you like biking or hiking, Kay is the person to ask about trails, and such. I very much enjoyed my time there and can honestly state if you are looking for a home away from home, you couldn't do much better than Kay's.
Calming place to stay
I needed a place to stay while I was transitioning from being a working home owner to being a retired full time traveler. This was a time of tremendous change for me, and I really wanted to rent my own space, however prices were going up and I started looking for a shared space. I hadn't lived with anyone for at least 20 years and was not looking forward to it. Imagine my surprise when I landed at Kay's place. I felt completely safe and peaceful there. Kay is warm and wise and we had many insightful conversations. Her garden is a lovely oasis that I enjoyed strolling through after a stressful day at work. Kay was very flexible, making me feel at home. I had special dietary needs that she accommodated. She went out of her way to help me in my transition. I feel I have made a lifelong friend. If you need a place that is peaceful and feels safe with all the comforts of home, I would highly recommend Kay's place.
