The Lotus Apt. is in a 2 unit house in the Homestead Neighborhood that surrounds the OHSU and VA hospital complexes on Marquam Hill. It's a residential neighborhood though there are a few restaurants and stores within walking distance. The area is dominated by a huge wooded park with hiking trails and bike paths. The OHSU and VA hospitals are within walking distance.
Perfect place
We spent 6 months here between April and September and had an amazing experience. Anna is super kind and thoughtful, and was always available for questions. The commute to OHSU was easy, with a bus right outside the door, and there are lovely hiking trails near the property. Also, the view is amazing!
Spacious beautiful unit
Loved staying in this unit. Spacious and bright, with an amazing view of Mt. H from the driveway. About a 15 minute walk to OHSU. Very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. A was very accommodating and quick to respond. Would highly recommend staying here!
All you need is your suitcase... literally!
This property has everything you need! Anna is an amazing hostess and lets no stone go unturned when it comes to her travelers! Every amenity is available and thought of in the kitchen, linens, towels and face towels. She has dresser and closet accommodations. The unit is actually much bigger in person and has better lighting than what the pictures show. It's close enough to walk to OHSU ~ 15 minutes. The set up is a walkout basement and while noise is heard upstairs, she's very cognizant of her tenant keeping it to a minimum or giving a heads up about potential noisy events. Everything is comfy- couch, chair, bed, kitchen chairs. SO much storage space! The location is great in proximity to city activities. Great walking paths and outdoor trails are literally outside the door. The only thing I did not like was the parking situation; however that would not deter me from staying here again. I recommend staying here to any traveler! Thanks so much for being an awesome hostess Anna!!
Could Not Have Asked For More
I spent 4 months living here while on assignment at OHSU and it was absolutely perfect. A goes above and beyond to provide everything you could possibly need in your home away from home. She is so thoughtful and kind and really wants you to be comfortable during your stay. The commute to OHSU is unrivaled. It's so close to the hospital that when there was a huge ice and snowstorm while I was there I was easily able to walk to and from work. A's lovely neighbors even loaned me snow boots and a walking stick to make it easier for me. I could not have asked for a better experience while I was there. The apartment is lovely and so is A and the surrounding community.
my safe haven
A's apartment is absolutely perfect, open and spacious. I have lived here for approx 6 months while on assignment at OHSU. A 60 second commute. The drive up Terwilliger curves to A's house looks like something out of a fairy-tale book - an adorable home settled on the hillside in the Homestead neighborhood with majestic views of Mount Hood and the Willamette River. The kitchen is huge with tons of cabinets, washer/dryer in unit, full-sized frig with ice-maker, beautiful tile work, new appliances, dishwasher. The bedroom is very spacious and can be closed off by the sliding barn doors which includes black out curtains for you night-shifters. Between the main living quarters, you enter a changing room which leads to a large bathroom with walk-in shower and beautiful vanity. The pictures here do the unit no justice. Its a must-see and a steal of a price. A is very welcoming and respectful of my privacy. I'm sad to leave but will forever be grateful for this journey.
