Comfortable, safe, clean space!
As a solo female traveler, my extended stay in Shelleys basement space has been a very comfortable and safe space for me. There is plenty of space for storage of my many belongings. The bed is very comfortable, and the room is clean and tidy. If you are an animal lover, Shelley has an adorable dog who will give you the sweetest greeting when you open up the door to the shared basement space that includes the washer and drier. Aside from this you have a private entrance into your space, and the area is always quiet and peaceful. Shelley was kind enough to let me enjoy her backyard oasis, with the most beautiful flowers and a comfy nook to read / relax in. Shelley is so kind, thoughtful and accommodating she is frequently checking in to make sure Im comfortable and have everything I need (her space comes with everything you could need for either a short or long/extended stay). The house is a short walk to the beautiful Sloans lake. The surrounding area feels very safe, and you are a short distance from lots of great restaurants and shops. Youre close enough to downtown Denver if you want an easy trip to a sports game or to explore the city. If you get to stay here on your visit to Denver, you should consider yourself lucky!
Stay absolutely could not have been better
I'm a travel nurse, and during my stay I was working in Aurora, a 20-30min drive depending on traffic. Very manageable. My stay in S's beautiful basement apartment was truly the best case scenario for me. It was so cute and so cozy. I had absolutely everything I needed and then some. S was communicative, quick to respond, and very accommodating. The bed and couch were quite comfortable. Very large smart TV. I, personally, had more storage space than I needed, and S offered me even more space if I needed that. All of the appliances work great. Water pressure was wonderful, and I never ran out of hot water. I hope S didn't either The laundry room is the only shared space (also in the basement) besides the backyard, and we never had any issues with usage. Her backyard oasis is a whole vibe. It is perfect for outdoor lounging in the summer to come. S's pup, Flygirl, often accompanied me in the sunbathing on nice days. It is in a very safe neighborhood for all you solo lady travelers. I wasn't sketched out walking alone day or night a single time. There are many grocery stores, breweries, and restaurants nearby. Sloan's Lake is a great place for a walk, run, or bike ride and is only a half mile down the road. I truly cannot say enough good things about my experience in S's home, and I really didn't want to leave. If I were to take another assignment in the Denver area, S would be my first call. If you're traveling solo, this is your place.
