Dirty, unprofessional, unprepared

My first night I moved in, I came here and found the master bed with period stains on the edge of the bed since the owner had the bedding not made. The owner blamed it on the professional cleaners, which I caught him in his own lie as later he told me that he and his wife were the ones who did the bedding. The sheets were all on the bed, pillows on the bedroom floor which was covered with dog hair, and when I looked under the bed, there were miscellaneous things under there, including dust, cardboard, used chapstick, etc. My suspicions were that none of the bedding was really washed. So I checked all other bedrooms, they all had dog hair all over. I checked the living room couches and found a few huge tortilla chips. The live edge kitchen table had holes filled with crumbs of food...just absolutely disgusting. I knew that if I stayed, I would have to put in a few hours of cleaning. So I called the owner and told him all this. I wanted my $180 cleaning fee refunded. During our 10minute+ phone call, he kept making excuses and never confirmed whether he would refund me or fix the problem. I decided to leave and stay at a hotel, which he didn't reimburse. He even requested that I go back the next day so that I could open the door for the cleaners to get in. I talked with the cleaners and apparently he threatened them into doing a free cleaning since they didnt do a "good job". But I disagreed. The cleaners job is to clean the house to the best of their abilities without moving furniture or disposing of owners property (even if they were crap). The owner just leaves town and expects the cleaners to do a perfect job without his review. Avoid this place at all costs.
