RENTERS BEWARE!!! Do not fall

moved in June 1st &red flags began. decided to leave on 6/6. never provided w rental agreement. When I asked about this, she said “no, it’s just easier for everyone”. No working locks/can’t lock unit. Landlord is a PEST! 2nd day, she’s on porch unannounced while I’m trying to unpack, bothering me for leaving a LAMP on at night. next day, she asked when i was leaving for the day so she could have her husband “fix the toilet”, & I kindly stated that I would feel more comfortable if they came while I was home. She responded “no, we will wait until u leave”. I told her again I would prefer if strangers weren’t in my unit while I wasn’t home and she responds “it’s my unit “. I immediately asked if she’d prorate my rent & return deposit if I decided to leave, to which she goes “well that’s weird” & sent a number of weird texts to me. She has since stopped responding & won’t answer questions r/t my mail. even had to call cops same day bc when I returned to property the gate was locked.

My FAVORITE Place in Hawaii

This is the most amazing apartment in Maui! It is a true Ohana House: separate from the main house but with ALL the features. Excellent views of the ocean and nearby bay to watch all the kitesurfing at nearby Kanaha Beach. Thick walls, so that the only sounds you'll ever hear come from the ocean. Plus, you can play your music and not bother anyone around. Your porch (lanai) is walled on three sides, so you can sunbath in total privacy every morning. Both surfing and fishing can be done right outside your front porch. More than just basic utensils, but all the appliances you could possibly want to cook with. The family that lives here is super chill, yet very responsive to your every need. They even share extra fruits and veggies they get from local friends. I feel like a welcome member of the family here. I'm also renting their car, which makes bill paying super simple. The fully automatic A/C works GREAT. Sand is not an issue as this is a rocky beach front.
