Quiet Westside Retreat: 2BR/2BA Detached Home, Walk or Bike Everywhere.

Perfect in every way!

This home was the perfect place to spend 6 weeks getting familiar with Santa Cruz. It's walking distance from many restaurants and shops, in a lovely walkable neighborhood, and just a short drive to Santa Cruz's amazing forests, trails, and parks! The home has a full, well-equipped kitchen and two very comfortable bedrooms. We especially appreciated the newly remodeled bathrooms, the soft cotton bedding, filtered drinking water, the BBQ grill, new full-size washer/dryer, and the cozy fireplace. The front and back courtyards were beautifully landscaped and offered peaceful outdoor spaces. Despite the nearness to Highway 1, the only noises we heard were raindrops, the gentle back yard fountain, wind in the trees, and the magical sound of a hoot owl at night. Our favorite feature, though, is the owners. Kristina and Tycho were so warm and welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. This will be our first choice when we return to Santa Cruz!

Beautiful Santa Cruz!

We spent six splendid weeks at this lovely home. If you like food, wine, and gorgeous stretches of the California coastline, this home is ideally situated. It's a stone's throw from Highway 1, but there was no road noise or foot traffic. This house checked all of our boxes: spacious kitchen with lots of food prep surfaces, large refrigerator and dishwasher, cavernous washer & dryer, excellent water pressure, comfortable beds, skylights, driveway, and street parking, thoughtfully designed gated front yard and private backyard with a water feature. The house was Great! More importantly, though, were the owners. So easy to work with, kind, and warm. The level of care they showed for their home was exceeded only by their desire that we have the best possible stay as their guests. Our only complaint is that we didn't have more time to stay here. We loved and recommended it and look forward to our next stay.

I stayed in this beautiful home January 2023-July 2023. I am a travel RN and did 2 contracts at Dominican hospital, K was more than happy to let me extend my lease when I extended my contract! I loved living here, great neighborhood, walking distance to breweries/restaurants and to the beach. Really close to downtown and there are good hiking trails near by as well. K and Tycho are so awesome, always quick to respond and at the house right away if there were any issues! Very friendly and took great care of everything! The house had everything we needed, comfortable beds, huge shower, beautiful kitchen, cute private back patio area, I just loved living here!! Would absolutely recommend this home especially to travel healthcare workers, it was a quick 15 min drive to Dominican from the house and was a great location to live to check out all the best spots in Santa Cruz!
