Infested, smelly, & a catfish ! Avoid this place

I originally intended to book this place from August 1st - Feb 1st 2024, but upon living in the house, I quickly changed my mind. My decision to leave was also expedited by a miscommunication between the landlord and I where my stuff was removed from my room without my permission, during which some of my personal items were lost. Here is what I hated the most about this place: 1) mouse infestation: the house is infested with mice, 2) laundry: the washing machine and dryer in the dirty, unfinished basement is old, doesnt work well, frequently goes out of service, and leaves clothes smelling weird. 3) odor: the first thing I noticed when settling into my room is how much of the bed and furniture smells. No amount of sheet washing, furniture scrubbing, and air freshener was able to cut through the thick odor. This is true for the two rooms on the second floor. 4) furniture: the furniture in the smaller room on the second floor is broken and defective. 5) bathroom: the bathroom disgusts me. The worst part of staying here was using the bathroom. Its shower curtains are dirty and old; additionally, the rug in the bathroom is old and smelly. 6) food) the house is basically in a good dessert so if you dont drive, be prepared to take a bus or two to find decent food. Overall, for the price, you can find a cleaner, more affordable, rodent free housing experience in neighborhoods like squirrel hill, east liberty, etc. This place is what nightmares are made of. Avoid at all costs!
