Roomate wanted, Cozy Room available in a House in Beautiful Hawaii

DO NOT RENT!

I strongly advise against renting a room here. While the owner, Terry, relies on roommates to afford the home, he makes it extremely uncomfortable to actually live there. He is incredibly messy in common areas, yet very restrictive regarding tenant use of the kitchen and utilities. I was told I couldnt run the AC during the day or use the oven because of electricity costs. Additionally, there is a major double standard regarding guests: tenants are not allowed any visitors, while he hosts guests late into the night right outside tenant windows. Every previous roommate has left abruptly for these reasons. It is an uncomfortable, inconsistent, and stressful living environment.

Not suitable if you are home during day or need a desk to work.

I didn't enjoy my time here at all. No AC during the day and no space accommodations for the needed desk area to work from home. I wouldn't suggest renting a car from him either. A minor scratch when I did resulted in a loss of privileges and $550. Spent $1850 towards room and car for 6 days stay and one day with car. Might work better for someone who has a car and is gone all day. I was miserable there and flew back to the mainland.
