Quiet Cozy Hilltop Cottage with vineyard views

Wonderful experience!

I was fortunate to stay at the Cottage on the Hill for 6 months and it is truly a beautiful place! The views are gorgeous in every direction, and the cottage itself is comfortable and furnished with wonderful style. The owner is lovely and communication was excellent. I really enjoyed the peacefulness of the property, stargazing, and watching the birds, yet with an easy commute to work in Santa Rosa. Overall a wonderful experience!

Home Away From Home

The pictures dont do this place any justice. The moment we pulled up, we looked at each other and said were not going to want to leave. The cottage is tastefully done and truly is cozy. We spent many evenings enjoying the views of the vineyards, drinking wine, and listening to the birds sing all around us. K, the property owner, went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed during our stay. The cottage is older so naturally we came across some minor issues during our stay, but all issues were quickly resolved. It is well stocked with everything to make you feel at home. We also loved the convenience of the location. You can experience the solitude of the country, but if you want to enjoy some adorable downtowns its only about a 15 minute drive in any direction. It really is the perfect balance of both worlds. There arent enough ways to express our gratitude to K and for allowing us to share this little piece of heaven.

Relaxing Stay at Hilltop Cottage

I stayed in K's cottage during a travel nurse assignment and it felt like a great quiet retreat from the city for the few months I was there, despite being so close to town. It's in a fabulous location, only 5 minutes or so from downtown Forestville which was awesome and you're amongst some pretty great scenic redwood/vineyard pastures. The cabin itself has some quality appliances, propane stove was my favorite and kitchen it stocked with all the necessary items to cook a fantastic meal. The property is on a lot of land which was great for my dog to run and get out his husky energy. I should mention however that it isn't fenced so not good for a dog that is escape orientated. The bed was fit for a king. By far the best part of the stay though was the hosts, they were so friendly and willing to make my stay a comfortable one. If anything wasn't up to my standards in terms of amenities they really went above and beyond to make it right.

This little cabin is surrounded by vineyards, well furnished, close to everything, including Santa Rosa and Sebastopol, and exceeded our expectations in every way. K and R provide everything youll need for a comfortable stay (even sharp knives - unheard of in our experience). A charming, quiet, cozy, clean place to stay that will make you think youre on vacation. The essence of wine country living. Youll love it.
