Horrible stay even worse landlord

Where do I even begin? The landlord did not respond to my move-in instructions until after 4pm on move-in day, at which point he told me to call the power company or I would have no power. It was January in Connecticut. Upon move-in I was welcomed with holes in the ceiling, duct tape on the walls, a couch covered in pet hair, no blinds, and curtains that do not fully close. This is not a safe area, there are regularly assaults, robberies and stabbings. The apartment is less than a block from a homeless shelter. I also found a urine soaked mattress protector on the bed. The landlord told me to expect $100/month for power. My first bill was $780. He moved me to a studio; I still paid $200 using only a space heater. That studio also had a urine-stained mattress protector. I had to ask 3 times for my deposit back. He then tried to charge a pet fee and cleaning fee listed as “n/a” on my lease. For the love of your safety and sanity, do not stay here.

Safe, close, and great location

Staying in the studio apartment 2 was a great option for my contract at Yale. The apartment was small, private, and had everything I needed. I was able to walk to work and leave my car parked on the street for free by getting the resident parking tag from city hall building. The apartment has laundry in the basement, full kitchen, and nice bathtub for soaking. Landlord was very friendly, responsive, and considerate. Rented this place for 4 months June 24 to October 24

Great experience

I spent the summer here on a contract for work. The landlord was very quick to respond to my needs. Everything was of great quality and accessible. Will be returning next summer!

Convenient location and includes everything you need

Very convenient to St. Raphael Campus and York Street Campus YNHH. Comfortable stay. Everything you need is included - fresh towels, toiletries, all cooking supplies, dishes, silverware, sheets, etc. Laundry on site. Landlord is very responsive for any questions or needs you may have.

Really great stay!

Great location! Super close to the hospitals, walking distance to several restaurants and grocery store just an overall convenient location! The studio apartment is well designed and has the amenities I needed to make my stay easy. The property owner was super accommodating and would text back within minutes whenever I had a question. Great, safe property that works well for my travel nursing needs!

Excellent Property

This property is very nice! Everything is updated and feels very welcoming and cozy. Im here for work for a few months and its close to everything I need to get to. The landlord is very responsive and communication is great. Im so happy I found this place, it feels safe. Definitely worth it!
