Nice home, not family friendly
The home is nicely furnished and in a convenient location. The landlord is responsive, and her dog is sweet, though the backyard is not well maintained when it comes to pet waste. That said, this rental is not very family-friendly. Even after paying a non-refundable cleaning fee and hiring a professional cleaner ourselves, the refundable deposit process still became complicated and stressful. The final accounting was not provided until the 30th day (the legal deadline in Utah). We understand that every landlord has high standards for their property, and we did our best to meet them, but families with young children may find the environment and expectations less forgiving. For single travelers or couples who can keep things in near-perfect condition, this property could work well.
Lovely unit, great hosts, super convenient location
My husband and I rented this basement unit for 4 months whilst I was working at the University of Utah. It was a super convenient location, a bus stop 50 yards from the house takes you straight to the U! We really appreciated the allocated garage space for storing bikes and skis. Having our own washer and dryer in the unit made it really convenient. The hosts are friendly, helpful and on hand when needed. Highly recommend this place.
Comfortable and Great Location
Perfect location for rotation at the University of Utah with a comfortable living space and a nice area for taking walks. The owners were also very accommodating! Would rent here again!
Wonderful 3 Month Stay!
This two bedroom, one bath MIL unit is was a premier set-up for Spring skiing and exploring Salt Lake! The space was wonderful for working from home; though it is a basement unit, there are windows in both bedrooms and the living room. Everything was very well appointed and functional. The kitchenette was as pictured, but there was plenty of space for making meals. The bedrooms all had very comfy beds - and were very spacious. The bathroom had a lot of storage space. The location is perfect; very close to skiing via I80, yet incredibly residential. Beautiful neighborhoods to wander around or go on runs in - and the sunset views are incredible. It is walkable to Foothill Commons for grocery shopping, workout studios, etc. - which was a nice perk! Also, the short drive to Sugarhouse was very nice for going to the park, shopping, workout studios, etc. Also, the Owners were incredibly kind and hospitable. They checked in often to see if I needed anything, and were great with my dog.
