The perfect place for healthcare professionals!

My partner and I stayed with Susan for 5 months while doing medical school rotations at Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center, Kaiser, and the Puget Sound VA. She has a beautiful, large home in an ideal neighborhood located at an easy walking distance from bus lines that will take you directly to many of the hospitals and downtown. Ideal for anyone who will be at Harborview, Swedish Cherry Hill or First Hill, Virginia Mason, or Kaiser. Commuting to UW was also easy, just required changing bus lines, which was not a problem either. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, and the kitchen is spacious with all the necessities plus some! Location is three blocks off of the Lake Washington waterfront, which hosts an amazing running trail we took frequent advantage of. The area is very safe and I felt comfortable walking around alone at dark. Susan is a wonderful lady who makes you feel at home immediately and constantly went out of her way to make us feel welcome.

comfortable stay in beautiful and safe Madrona

M is a beautiful neighborhood just ~10 mins away from the lively neighborhoods of cap hill and central district. My commute to work was 9 mins driving to swedish FH. The house is walking distance to Lake Washington and a very short drive to the Washington Arboretum. I found M while going out to brunch and I fell in love and knew I wanted to live here. S is really sweet, encouraging and enjoys getting to know you as a person while also giving you privacy. My room did not have blackout shades but a good eyemask did the trick. The bathroom was shared with another FF tenant. The kitchen is massive with everything you would need. W/D is in the basement which also has plenty of storage space if needed. There is a back patio with tables and chairs to enjoy in the warmer months. I never had any issues finding parking just a few steps away from the house. The neighborhood is really quiet and peaceful, it is truly a hidden gem.

Quiet and comfortable room

S has a big, beautiful home with plenty of space for storage. Large kitchen with all the cooking equipment needed. She is kind, generous, and enjoys getting to know the people who stay with her. The room was quiet for sleeping during the day (with white noise in place) and the blackout shades were a huge help. Bathroom is shared with the occupant of the other room, which is rented out on FF. The back patio space is lovely in the summer, and in the cooler months there is a hot tub available to enjoy. It is easy to walk to Madrona or Lake Washington, most other errands require a car or public transport. I did bike to work on occasion but the neighborhood has very steep hills. Overall a fine stay in an old home in a quiet and safe part of the city.
