Just like home!!

Myself and another PA student booked this adorable unit for a 6 week rotation in Roanoke! The place was cozy, clean, and so close to both the office and Roanoke Memorial!! Would highly recommend the highland homeplace to other students traveling for rotations!

Good for traveling nurses

Landlord is very helpful. I was able to bring my animals to stay with me. It really does feel like home away from home here, I miss it now that I am in a smaller place in Charlotte NC.

Retired and Exploring

This was out first Furnished Finder experience and we found the Highland home place to be a great start to our retirement travel. The apartment is quiet, clean and comfortable, meeting all of our needs. We were very pleased with the whole process and would recommend this property to anyone staying in Roanoke.

Highland Home Away From Home

The Highland Homeplace has all the comforts and amenities of home. The home is cozy with a comfortable bed and a fenced in back yard for my pup. It's located minutes from Carilion Memorial Hospital and close to walking trails, downtown restaurants and Elmwood Park. The Rasnik's are great host. There was a gift bag filled with household essentials, which was a thoughtful touch. And they're also very communicative and quick to respond whenever you need them. I definitely recommend a stay at the Highland Homeplace if you find yourself in Roanoke.

Just like Home

As a traveling healthcare worker, new to VA by way of Texas, I stayed here from June - October 2024 and had a wonderful stay! From the cleanliness, cute retro decor, and central/convenient location to the provided coffee station (stocked with coffees and teas) and the amazing clawfoot tub, this place was so cozy, quiet, and really felt like home. The landlords are wonderful, kind, communicative (but never overbearing), and really make sure you have everything you need upon arrival and throughout your stay - they truly care about your experience! This place also has a security system, 55' TV and is dog friendly! We loved the fenced yard and patio and spent many beautiful days sitting outside enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. I highly recommend the Highland Homeplace place to anyone looking for a place to call home!

The Rasnicks were amazing hosts. They were quick and tentative to any needs the apartment or I needed and wanted to make sure i felt safe & comfortable. The fenced in yard was amazing for my dog. The apartment was clean and adorable. Close to all the hospitals. Would stay here again, and recommend to anyone.

Amazing cozy spot

This is an amazing property in Roanoke that is within 5 minutes of both major hospitals. Super cozy and clean, and stocked with everything you could need. Plenty of parking and the outdoor deck is great! The Rasnicks are great hosts, I would recommend this place to anyone

comfortable & convenient

This was a great stay while I did my travel contract as a nurse. The owners provide everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The place was nice, clean, and only 5 minutes away from the hospital. The owners are also very nice and responsive with anything you might need.

A great place to stay

I stayed here for a month with my two dogs and had a great time. The apartment looks just like the pictures. It was very convenient being able to let the dogs out right outside. It was also super close to downtown Roanoke.

Lovely & Cozy!

The R*** family welcomed me in as a travel nurse and were so thoughtful to every detail! The home was equipped with everything I needed and was such a relief after driving 12 hours to get there! Fully stocked with essentials and even had coffee already there for the next morning. Very clean, and quiet. The beds were very comfortable, the old claw foot bathtub was perfect after a long shift to soak in! I would definitely recommend this place for anyone staying in Roanoke!
