Great Host
Host & Husband were very responsive to issues. I had a hard winter here which meant a frozen shower for several days. Luckily, a vacant unit next door was available, so I was able to do the towel dash each day until it thawed out. Plus's = Off Street parking, the Highlands is busy during the weekends and public holidays. You have reserved parking with a mirror tag. Also, the rear of the property has floodlight/camera as well as entranceway. You can easily walk to multiple food/drink options. Minus's = There used to be a weekend night time venue open until the early hours across the street which luckily got shut down. The only other negative is the street noise which can include booming car stereos, revving engines and mod'd vehicles and bikes that like to show off at night. There was previously a mini-fridge in my unit that was replaced with a brand new full sized one when I moved out. I would have appreciated that.
Amazing Experience!
I stayed here for my first travel assignment. The room was very spacious, and close to everything in town (very convenient for winter). Melanie is a fantastic manager, and was very responsive to any questions or concerns that I had. Highly recommend.
Cute apartment
Host was fantastic and responded quickly to anything I needed or had any questions. The apartment was adorable and served my needs. It is a little noisy hearing everyone come in and out of the building and you can occasionally hear the other people staying in the building. I would definitely stay here again if I get any contract in the Louisville area
Not bad
The host was fantastic and very hospitable. She was open to any of my concerns and always just a text away if something happened that required attention. The shower is small, and a banged my elbows all the time in the glass soap dish holder, but there other properties to rent at this location if shower size is a deal breaker for you.
Unit 4
Had the pleasure of staying in this cozy unit on Bardstown Road for 5 months. Fully furnished studio with everything you need including a full refrigerator and stove, smart TV and washer/dryer on site! They also provided blackout curtains for us noc nurses. Conveniently located to hospitals and SO many great dining options. Private parking as well so you don't have to deal with street parking. M was amazing to work with, so responsive and helpful. I wish I could always have a landlord as awesome as her. This will definitely be my first option if I return to Louisville.
unit 3
Super cozy apartment that gets a lot of light. It has a tiny bathroom, blackout curtains, comfortable bed.. plenty of space for one person. Plus theres parking behind the building for all tenants (dont have to worry about parallel parking on side streets!) Unit 3 is on the second floor and faces the street which can be quite noisy at times. I stayed here for 6 months and managed to get used to it. The location is perfect.. 3 miles from Jewish hospital, lots of restaurants within walking distance and close to the highway and stores. M is the property manager and she was an absolute dream to work with. Super friendly and easy to get a hold of for any issues or concerns. I never had any issues when it came to paying for rent. Mel has set the bar so high and I wish I could take her with me! Im new to traveling and she has helped to make the housing part of it a lot less stressful. I would def stay here again!
Great experience
I stayed in this apartment for about 7 months, I had a great experience there. First, its located near shops and restaurants. The property manager is very responsive with any requests and accommodated with any needs that I had. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there.
Renters Beware
I was very skeptical because she wanted me to Venmo her money and I had no access to the place, required no documents, and never asked for my picture I.D. so I was really cautious. She assured me it wasn't a scam, I decided to meet her at the place, to have access to it when I paid her. The place was clean, and the shower was so small, that when I washed my body my elbows always hit the sides of the shower wall. The area was always noisy, with loud music and people arguing, and fighting at all hours of the night and morning. I paid for the entire month of October, on the 1st of that month, my mom got sick and I had to move out on the 4th and they refused to prorate me. Their ad on FF, doesn't state they don't prorate, I never signed or received documents or a verbal warning about it. After I raised a fuss about it, instead of giving me my money back, minus the 4 days I stayed, they gave me a couple hundred back out of the $900 I paid them. Getting over on healthcare professionals!
