AMAZING STAY
10/10 place is beautiful, clean & has anything u need. If theres something else u need Jessica is quick to resolve issues or help. Casitas very big & gets dark (night shifters) The Murphy bed is helpful for when ppl visit. The area is very safe -It's tucked in the back &has cameras/security monitoring. The garage is also so nice when it's cold out Jessica is an amazing landlord. I came alone &she always included me so I had someone to be with if I wanted. She's very respectful of your wishes though, so she will give you as much space or interaction you want My only complaint about my stay is that Jessica set the bar so high, no other place will compare! This was my 1st assignment &I got lucky w Jessica & the casita! I'm so happy to now call her a friend and when I come back to abq I will stay again
Awesome stay!
We had a great time at the peacock casita! The neighborhood was friendly and quiet. It felt like it was way removed from the hustle and bustle of Albuquerque, yet the best attractions and restaurants were super close by. I spent time with my kiddo at the zoo, aquarium, and two museums all just a short drive south. We also enjoyed the Rio Grande Nature Center and bosque trails, and frequented the local parks and playgrounds. 10/10 would recommend.
Perfect home away from home!!
I am a travel nurse from South Carolina and I lived in Jessica's casita from May through the end of the year. It was originally going to be a 3 month stay, but I loved it here so much that I stayed for over 8 months. From day 1 this place felt extremely cozy and made me feel right at home. It is a guest house that is hidden from the street and I have always felt extremely safe here, and the guest house is next to Jessica's main house as well, so my parents were very comforted with the fact that I had my "New Mexico" family right next door. Being away from home and all the way across the country was scary for me at first, but Jessica had a very warm welcome. She gives you as much privacy as you want, and as a night shift nurse that is crucial for those days you need to sleep when everyone else is going about their day. There are blackout curtains that were perfect for this, and it was much quieter than I expected! Jessica makes sure to inform you in advance if there is going to be any work around the house/neighborhood that could be noisy, but it was never a problem for me and my sleep was never disturbed for work - which is one of the most important things working nights. If you are ever homesick and/or miss any special holidays with your family - she always made sure to let me know I was welcome anytime. For example, even though I had family plans for thanksgiving, but she invited me to join her thanksgiving tradition if I had to spend the holiday alone. I also got a number of recommendations for places around ABQ and New Mexico in general for places to eat, drink, and explore. Only 10 minutes from Old Town and 20 minutes from anywhere else in ABQ, this location is also perfect. There are many trails around the neighborhood to bike and run, which I did often. The casita itself is much larger than the pictures showed. There are beautiful high ceilings, a large kitchen with an island and everything you need to cook a nice meal. My absolute favorite part of Jessica's casita - were the peacocks that are around the neighborhood. My cat ADORED watching the peacocks out the large sliding glass doors and the windows, and it's just another unique characteristic about this casita that you will not find anywhere else. I could write an essay on how much I loved staying here with Jessica as my landlord. If I wasn't moving on to another assignment, I would have stayed here as long as possible (and I did!). I am hoping to stay in contact with Jessica after I move because she truly made sure everything was perfect for my time here in her casita, and has turned into a wonderful friend. Book this place ASAP if you are wondering where to stay in Albuquerque. You wont find anywhere better than here!
