Delightful 2BR Home in Excellent Location

Don't stay here if you may have to move out early...

We stayed here for 3 months for my husband's travel contract. The place was updated but didn't have many basic items for the kitchen including a can opener so we had to buy our own. We didn't feel any of the furniture was comfortable including the couch and mattress. The neighborhood had some okay houses but some not great looking houses and yards especially right across the street. Alexis was very nice and accommodating initially but we had to break our lease early due to buying a house. We explained the situation to Alexis and gave her more than 30 days notice as required in the lease. She quickly posted the house for rent and found a renter in a week or so, who booked the place for 6 months. Per the lease, there is an early term fee of $2600. We explained we would be willing to pay the days the house is vacant but didn't feel she should be able to profit off of us moving out early since she found a renter starting 2 weeks after we moved out. My husband is out of work for 3 weeks so we couldn't afford to pay the early termination fee. We were extremely upset that Alexis wouldn't work with us and profited off of us moving out early and made us pay the full early term fee. Travel nurses-KEEP this in mind if your contract ends early! You will have to pay a full months rent!
