Comfortable stay
I spent the last 2 weeks here in early December and my stay was great. Host was quick and responsive and answered all my questions. Checked in on me multiple times during my stay to make sure everything was alright and to my liking. Overall it was comfortable, quiet, and had everything that I needed. Heater was warm during the cold nights and having a quiet place to come back to after work made it easy to rest. Walking distance to Jacobi and the train station so I found it easy to move around town and get to the city. Overall quiet peaceful neighborhoods, close to aldi/dollar tree/Dunkin Donuts to name a few. Would recommend to any professional who is staying in the area to work and looking for a place to kick back and relax after a long day at work.
Bedroom flooding
My stay was for 3 weeks, but needed to move out within 4 days due to flooding. It rained on day 2 & about 4 in or more of water came up through the floor in the bedroom. Nothing was done that day, they told me to leave it alone & sleep on the futon until they were back, no instructions for how to dry it up or calls made to a handyman or anything. They were out of town until the next day, by which time the water had receded, & they seemed completely unphased by the experience. They put on the dehumidifier (which seemed futile to me in the grand scheme) & said they would check the drains outside on the other side of the wall. After looking at Airbnb reviews & chatting with their neighbor, I learned this had happened in the past. To me, this was a huge concern for mold and felt unsafe & uninhabitable. They did offer a refund, which I expected the full amount for the inconvenience it caused to relocate on short notice. But no- they charged me for 4 days AND the cleaning fee- kept $500
