BEWARE OF NASH PROPERTIES

Traveling professionals: do NOT stay here. $750 deposit + $300 cleaning fee, yet they still kept over half my deposit for “cleaning” and “item removal.” The apartment was furnished and already had hangers, blankets, cleaning supplies, food in cabinets etc, which is normal for furnished rentals. They said we didn’t report this, like who reports these items for a furnished short term listing, it’s common. They claimed those items were never there on arrival and charged us unfairly. On top of that, it’s above a bar, so sleep is basically impossible. Run from these listings unless you’re okay with your deposit being taken unfairly.

Were sorry youre frustrated with your move-out charges, but we want to clarify the facts for anyone reading this. Your reservation included: A $300 standard turnover cleaning fee, which covers normal deep cleaning and laundering linens after departure, and a $750 refundable security deposit, intended to cover damage or excessive cleaning beyond standard turnover. At move-out, our staff documented (and provided you photo evidence of): Large quantities of perishable food remaining in cabinets and refrigerator; personal Items left throughout the apartment resulting in 5 bags of garbage; and significant disorganization of kitchenware requiring staff labor to reset the unit for the next guest This went well beyond normal furnished-rental condition; and as a result, additional staff time was required to remove trash and food, restore the apartment, and reassemble the unit for the next guest. Those labor costs were deducted from your deposit in accordance with our published policies. Regarding your claim that these items were already present: our furnished units are delivered clean, stocked, and organized. While starter supplies may be provided, guests are responsible for removing their own belongings, trash, and food at move-out. We also want to address the documentation concern that we did not provide you pictures. Per our published procedures, we provided you the opportunity to complete and return a move-in inspection (so any pre-existing issues or concerns could be documented at the start of your stay). We did not receive a completed move-in inspection back from you. Under our policies, when a move-in inspection is not returned, the unit is assumed accepted in good condition at move-in. We dispute the suggestion that this involved dishonesty or surprise deductions. The charges were based solely on the documented condition of the apartment after departure and applied as outlined in our policies. Finally, we understand that deposit deductions are upsetting but leaving a negative review because you disagree with contractually permitted charges does not change the condition the unit was left in, nor the evidence provided. We operate professionally, follow written procedures, and apply them consistently to every guest. We wish you the best in your future assignments.
