The condo is unique because it has direct access to the trolley system that takes you pretty much anywhere in San Diego. The property is located in downtown San Diego.
Condo in bad area of downtown
The condo is very nice, with a beautiful interior design. The perks end there. There are numerous cons with this condo. First, there are a LOT of homeless people around. Homelessness is an issue in downtown in general, but the problem is extreme near the condo. Second, it's right next to the trolly station so it's very loud at ALL times. Neither of these two issues are landlord driven, though they did not disclose these issues prior to signing. Third, the listing was advertised to include AC, but the AC never worked during our stay. Not only was the landlord slow to troubleshoot the issue, but the landlord has been inflexible in reducing the electricity bill. I'd advise you to confirm that it works. Fourth, the landlord kept a significant amount of our security deposit due to wear and tear issues that could not have been caused by us, given that we were only there for a short duration. The landlord has not shown willingness to discuss these issues. I do not recommend this place.
